Geez, Joe, I watched it and you're absolutely correct. Turns out it was a perfect throw.

I also agree with you that they need to get Hopper on the field more instead of Mcduffie.

He'll rattle the teeth of a few running backs.

Was Willis' TD pass intended for Watson or Doubs? https://x.com/i/status/1990521422226334103

        I take this back.

The issue I have with Love this week is he doesn't step up into the pocket and make throws. But reflecting more on our OL play, there really hasn't been a good solid pocket to move up into with Banks, Rhyan, Jenkins and Morgan getting beat a lot up the middle.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I think Parson's only "1" sack of his 1.5 came on the last play/hail mary where he chased Winston and caught his arm, causing a fumble rather than a pass as the clock ran out. All day long, he was getting close but not quite getting that immobile QB. This ain't horseshoes or hand grenades. When we got Parsons, optimist that I usually am, I was thinking he was as good or better than Myles Garrett. But no, Parsons seems to be speed but very little power, and as I said, a lot of "almost" - practically never actually getting there. And most of the time, that's the way it is with the Packers pass rush in general, close but not quite getting there. That along with the crap we have for DBs is a bad combination. The offense gets a fairly well deserved bad rap, but a large part of the reason for that is so few possessions - just 7 in each of the last two games. Supposedly 10 or 11 is normal or average, because the D can't get off the field.

I see Nixon had a pretty good rating on that PFF. That to me just highlights the bogusness of PFF. Nixon was getting beat all over the field, and it seemed like they were actually picking on him, knowing he couldn't cover. He did make a hard hit or two and at least one breakup, but even on those, he was beat in coverage - the receivers were open.
He's got 8 sacks and is tied for 7th in the league with very little help. He's not Myles Garrett. But he's light years ahead of the other stumblebums on that line.

The interior pressure has been feeding a LOT of bad habits.

If Parsons is getting alotta “almost sacks,” then he must be getting alotta pressures on the QB, which means he forcing QBs to ejaculate, err, get rid of the rock prematurely. Apparently, and I agree with you on this, the Packers don’t to have anyone with above average coverage kung fu in their DBs and linebackers. There’s no shutdown corner or Urlacher on the roster.

Parsons is worth every penny thus far.
That pressure is nice theoretically, but with the lame-assed Packer DBs it's not worth much. We had the ball so few times because the D couldn't get off the field not to mention not generating many turnovers. Is Parsons "worth every penny"? Or are you just happy to get rid of Kenny Clark? I never defended Clark all that much either, but we do sometimes seem a little short of yokozumas in the D Line. I was so fired up about the Parsons trade, but I'm beginning to think I fell into the same trap as when we drafted Jamal Reynolds and I was so happy about that. You're right about counteracting the pass rush. Those quick throws shouldn't be as effective as they are, though, And when they double team Parsons, somebody else should be able to get home. I'm not down on Gary like you are. I think the problem is no push up the middle most of the time, letting QBs escape.

Not to continue to be pessimistic, but Winston ain't much of a QB. In addition to being pretty immobile, a lot of his incompletions were bad throws to wide open receivers. A lot of QBs aren't gonna miss those.

You say there's "no Urlacher on the roster". I'd say there is, and it sure as hell ain't Quay Walker. It's Edgerin Cooper. As good as he is, though, there are just too many other weaknesses for him to compensate for - run stopping, coverage in the middle of the field, etc.

A big "yes but" to your post hahahaha. If there is such a think as a "quiet" 8 sacks, that's what Parsons has. He kinda reminds me of Lillard on the Bucks.
