Trade! The Chicago Bears are trading for Patriots center Garrett Bradbury, per sources. New England receives a fifth-round pick in return.

Chicago, who lost Drew Dalman to retirement earlier this week, picks up a veteran with NFC North experience.

Rashan Gary has not yet been traded or released, per source, as both options remain on the table. He also deleted his farewell message on IG, as @EzeirCameron first noticed.
This is not a love song
I'm just checking that your light's still on
I just wanna feel like I belong
      But I don't know where I am

I've not quite broken everything I've loved
That's why I hold you in museum gloves
And you can ask me anything you like
But just don't ask me why I'm like this

      All I know
Is holding you is all I ever wanna know
But maybe I'm not brave enough to tell you so
But I don't have the strength to watch you go
I don’t want a battle from beginning to end
I don’t want a cycle of recycled revenge

The Raiders are trading star edge Maxx Crosby to the Ravens for pick No. 14 and additional compensation, per me and @tompelissero.bsky.social
        . A blockbuster.

A new home for Crosby and a true rebuild for Las Vegas.

Maxx sold the farm to take his man where he longed to be
They left their kin and all their friends back there in LV

Bought those one way tickets he had often begged Maxx for
And they took them to the streets of Baltimore

His heart was filled with laughter when he saw those city lights
And he said, "The prettiest place on earth is Baltimore at night"

Well, a man feels proud to give his man what he’s longing for
And Maxx kind of liked the streets of Baltimore

          • Regarding Doubs, yes, I would definitely be among those saying "Wow, he got that much?" hahaha. He's good, and I love him, but he isn't worth that much. More power to him if he can take the Niners for that much.

Regarding Gary, I read the thing about the hack too. Where there's smoke, there's usually fire. It wouldn't be the worst thing if he did get cut. He might be capable of snapping back, but I wouldn't bet $18 million or whatever this season on it.

Regarding the Bears deal for that Center, maybe that makes it more likely that the Packers end up with Biadasz - a good thing IMO.

Regarding the Raiders, they are a prime example of the opposite of the Packers - a stupidly run team that feels the need for a total rebuild. They're so far down now, though, that a rebuild would hardly be noticeable.

Regarding Crosby, I don't know if he is good enough to justify that much in trade or not. I'm more pleased if he goes to the Ravens than the Bears, though.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Chargers signed Biadasz to a 3 year, $30 million dollar deal yesterday.

Saw it's two 1st round picks. This year's (No. 14) and Baltimore next year's 1st rounder.

                  • Packers have traded DT Colby Wooden to the Colts for LB Zaire Franklin. Franklin led the NFL with 173 tackles and made the Pro Bowl in 2024. He started all 17 games in 2025 and had 125 tackles with 5 PD, 2 sacks and 7 TFL. He will turn 30 in July. Franklin has a cap number of 7 million. Wooden had a base salary of 1.1 million.

                    • Good for Biadasz getting that much from them. I wouldn't have wanted the Packers to pay that much.

Hopefully Zaire Franklin is a step up from Quay Walker. I generally like the trade.

Terrible in coverage, misses a lot of tackles, huge salary. What's not to like?

... and he hits 30 before the season.

For two consecutive years Gute trades his best (only) run-stopping DT. Must plan on getting some DTs somewhere, and letting Quay leave.

                          • Franklin was 2nd team All-Pro in 2024 when he led the NFL in tackles. His strong point in stopping the run. His weakness is M2M pass coverage. Last year the Colts had one of the NFL's top run defenses. Last year he played 95% of defensive snaps, which means the Colts left him on the field in likely passing situations. I think Gannon will use him differently. Gannon likes to use a lot of dime in likely pass situations. No doubt DT is now one of the biggest areas of need on the Packers.

                            • They traded a young, seemingly improving player for an old player whose stats dropped significantly in 2025 from the previous three years. New player destined to replace another young player who has improved each year. Hard to feel good about that trade. Reverse of what I have come to expect from the Packers.

Now throw in the fact of no first round draft pick, and it is difficult to see a path for improving from last year.

All true, but Franklin's statistical performance (not the be-all, end-all evaluation, for sure) dropped significantly from the previous three years. Not a good sign from a soon-to-be 30 year old player.
