The country song lyrics made sense? Btw, the second verse is supposed to be:

Driving on the lonesome Pennsylvania turnpike
A beauteous man is a-walking, a-holding his thumb up
Stranger, wanna go for a dream hike?
I park the car, he hops in and says, “S’up.”

I don’t want a cycle of recycled revenge

    • I just meant that McCarthy is from that area, and he has a very successful history with Rodgers.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

            • Packers need to move immediately to start interviewing DC candidates, not wait to see if Hafley gets the last HC job.

What about Joe Barry? With the shakeup in Miami I assume he's available.

According to Wikipedia he was pretty impactful during his tenure here.

On February 8, 2021, Barry was hired by the Green Bay Packers as their defensive coordinator under head coach Matt LaFleur, replacing Mike Pettine.[9][10] In his first year coordinating the unit, he developed veteran linebacker De'Vondre Campbell, who was signed as a free agent for a $2 million contract, to First-Team All-Pro honors. His unit finished as the NFL's 9th ranked defense by yards allowed, despite missing star pass-rusher Za'Darius Smith and star cornerback Jaire Alexander for most of the season. During Week 11, his unit shut out Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson for the first time in his career.

In their Divisional Round playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Packers' defense intercepted quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo once, while sacking him four times, limiting him to 3 points through 55 minutes, as the Packers led by 7. However, the Packers went on to lose 13–10 after their special teams unit allowed a blocked punt to be returned for a game-tying touchdown with 4:41 left to play. While the Packers' offense was unable to produce on the following drive and was forced to punt with 2 minutes remaining, Barry's defense was unable to come up with a final stop.

After their 2023 season Wild Card playoff game win against the Dallas Cowboys, the Packers became the first #7 seed to advance to the Divisional Round. Barry's defense held Dallas to 16 points, while Green Bay scored 41, until the end of the third quarter.

Green Bay went on to narrowly lose in the Divisional Round playoff game to the 49ers after Barry's defense gave up a 6-yard rushing touchdown from Christian McCaffrey with 1:07 left in the fourth quarter. Green Bay had a seven point lead going into the fourth quarter.

Barry was fired on January 24, 2024.[11]

                • He was better in the playoffs than Hafley has been. Or at least equal.

Its underrated how many times in the last 14 years the defense outperformed the offense in the post season.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

According to JIMMY, they offered it to him once. I doubt they would again.

                            • They won't get the chance. Jimmy will be hired before we start interviews. Its our M.O.

Personally if I had been extending MiLF I would have demanded he promise me Bookers knee will be destroyed in the next meeting between the teams. We won't win a street fight playing like nice guys. I just watched NFL network where they were saying "awe shucks, its no big deal how Ben Johnson acted, the bears needed a not nice guy". Fine, they think this was all fine so if the packers were to retaliate with a few dirty hits on Booker I'm assuming they would be fine with that as well.

But MiLF won't do it. Its my only gripe with him as a coach. He wants to play a sport, but football is part gladiator and you either embrace that, or the gladiators will dismantle you. I think the Bears will lose big today because I don't think they can get nearly as motivated to play the Rams as they did to play us, and the Rams are probably better than we were at game time.

                              • MLF is not required to make any changes to his coaching staff.
He has the option to, but it is not required under the new extension.

I’ll be interested to see if he feels any changes need to be made,
