Moving guys from one position group to another like the WR coach is another. The fact that the Packers' assistant coaches had far, far less combined coaching experience than any other NFL playoff team is another.

So no, not just some twitter guy.

Several guys covering GB (Wilde and Tauscher included) have noted GB tends to be very wallet tight with their assistants. They often note they are hoping for a change with the assistants. It makes sense.

          • I WONDER if Hafley is going to take some of the GB guys with him. Is there really any coach in GB who we would really say it'd be an extreme loss if they went to Miami

Can we take up a collection for Hafley to sign Richie, Adam, and Luke Butkus to Miami ?????

            • Jim Schwartz's wide-nine system does make the team vulnerable to an inside run game. Those gaps are crazy wide.

But I would enjoy the hire because really, how could you not call him "The Schvantz"?

I somehow doubt the Packers would hire him. I don't know why I think that.

Coming home: The Steelers are working towards a deal to hire Mike McCarthy as their head coach, per sources.

McCarthy grew up in Pittsburgh. Now, at age 62, the Super Bowl winner gets a chance to coach the team he grew up rooting for.

                  What about Aaron Rodgers?

Haven't seen anything on that. He interviewed with Raiders today.

+1 to that. Hard not to root for them just a little bit against teams other than the Packers. Probably Rodgers, T.J. Watts, etc.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Then add in assistant coaching with the 49ers and Chiefs. That's 5 of the 7 teams that have won 4 or more Super Bowls. Franchises that have won 24 Super Bowls.
