I'm obviously very optimistic about this game. My big worry, though, is that we got exposed as pathetic against the run. The Bears and everybody else we might play going forward - if they're smart - would try to exploit that. The other major Packer weakness - pass defense, rotten Corners - hopefully will be much improved with Trevon Diggs. Diggs seemed to replace Valentine, though, which would mean Nixon is still out there messing up.

I'm thinking the goodness of Packer O outweighs the badness of Packer D.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

You have to believe Love, JJ and the offense are going to do their part. The D is the question.

You could consider the two previous games the "bad" Packers D played the Bears as a start. Including the second one which was without Parsons.

They allow 22 points in an over time game. And allowed 120 yards on 23 carries that weren't scrambles by Williams.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

You'd think, but in playoff time the D has shown up and the offense has staggered and sputtered.

              We shall soon see.

Come on, Pack. Put it together and play a complete game, for crissakes.

Bears have lived off turnovers. Packers haven't. Don't give them any easy scores.

Can anyone imagine 17 games and 0 yards returned after an INT?

My impression is that Love's arm is strong enough to handle strong winds, but 27mph? Oof.

Good Point. The Bears, however, weren't as smart as Baltimore in almost totally committing to power running. Hopefully that will be the case again, because the Packers D got pretty well exposed as pathetic strength-wise. I'm a little bit afraid that we'd have a hard time stopping a steady diet of power runs. Hopefully also, our offense can jump on them early and often, which would slightly negate the weakness against the run. The weather prediction mentioned above is also cause for concern, as it could hurt our passing game and not much affect the Bears running game.

All that aside, I'm expecting the Packers to win.

The weather is definitely shaping up to favor the bears imo. The bears fans I know haven't been obnoxious since beating us in game 2 and that has me nervous. I prefer it when they are obnoxious.

With Parsons, no one wanted to wait to throw deep on a 7 step drop. The weird thing is that hasn't changed since his injury.

                              So injury wise:

Tom seemed on track to start by practicing but his comments haven't been definitive. He is either sandbagging or he is still bothered by the knee. A day of rest could be just wise, a warm up for Morgan or last ditch effort to get him healthy and on the field.

Wicks still doesn't seem to have cleared concussion protocol. Even if he does with lack of reps he seems like the fifth option. Watson, Doubs, Reed, Golden go ahead of him.

Bullard consistently practiced and has been more positive in comments. I'm hopeful.

Brinson might be active even if they pray they don't need him. Only four healthy bodies without him.

Banks has got to be healthy, hoping its just the flu that was going around. O line will be undermanned if they need to replace Tom and Banks.

Niemann was activated and on the roster like they expect him on special teams now, especially after Welch went down. Niemann when healthy is an improvement on ST over Welch.

Willis being ready could be huge. Ridder is the 3rd QB and would take over for Willis if he can't go. But Ridder has been in town for 2 weeks.
