Which will be funny in retrospect when the new coach tells the GM he needs a new QB to win with his system.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

They all say they will make it work.

EDIT: none of the examples made sense in retrospect, but I think the point stands

They will claim they accept the condition and when the screen pass hits the fan, the QB will be gone. In two years Love's contract can be traded or worked around. Willis likely earlier in the unlikely event he gets re-signed.

If I'm reading this right, I'm not aligned. I want to run with Willis, but I want to keep LeFleur. He is a really good coach. Gutes is responsible for the lack of talent on the roster at key positions. Despite that MiLF has still kept them winning even when losing Kraft and having a below average OL. I'm just really unhappy that he let the Bears play dirty and didn't respond.

I generally agree you need a star quarterback to win the big game.

I think Love may be that, not sure, but I am very confident Willis is not that. I guess we'll see but how many dudes look good in clean-up and then flame out when starting?

LaFleur needs to have a tougher team, physically and mentally. I wish he had more of an edge like Dan Campbell but I also think that is hard to fake, so if it's not him, it's not him. Would be cool to see him get fired up about something and speak out of turn for a change.

Still no deal as of Thursday night. this is very interesting.

              This could be about money

And this could be about staffing. Flower has kept some real shit coaches for way too long. Maybe he doesn't want to fire his buddies Richie and Adam

              OR

Maybe he wants GB to open up their wallets so he can hire some experinced people. There are a couple really good OC's (Dolphins coach) and DC's available. (Rasheem Morris)

Enought with promoting from within. Go get some strong coaches
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

AND I'm still just baffled why the Dirty Gutebag is getting a free pass. A great poll would be....what should Green Bay do

                Fire the Flower and Gutebag
                Fire the Flower
                Fire Gutebag
                Keep them Both

But Gutebag gets a free pass
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Well what can they do? I don’t think they’re gonna come
To an agreement. The reporting is that Milf could get a long term (4-5 years I assume) offer from a handful of teams. The Packers don’t want to commit to that long obviously since he has kinda stunk in the post season. I don’t think he’ll take a one year extension. My guess is he’s either traded or or he will play out next year and leave. Another option would be that they mutually agree to part but it’s unclear the value in that for either side. Maybe they agree to tear up contract and then they owe him nothing and he’s free to go. I think trade is more likely since they need picks.

Some speculation that they're also working on extensions for Gute and Russ Ball and want to announce them all at same time. Also may be restructuring all football operations as there'd been some talk that Policy wants to go back to the way things were before where coach reports to GM, not Policy.

If we are going to resign MLF, it feels like we're missing our window to nab a hot OC like McDaniels

I don't think McDaniel is going to go to a team where the HC is calling the plays. He's more in demand than that.

What is supposed to be so great about McDaniel? I think I prefer LaFleur and his record over McDaniel and his.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

I think Mike McDaniel is a much more creative playcaller. A running game genius. At least he was, maybe all his act is on tape now.

That said I would not want to go that direction.

Mike-Mac turned the noodle-arm Tua into a bona fide MVP candidate. Sucks, Tua keeps getting concussed.

To paraphrase Pbmax’s favorite band, Snow Patrol, what if this is all the Love we’ll ever get with the Frog (LaFleur)?

Currently, the Lovemaker is a poor man’s Mahomme/poor man’s Dak type. McDaniel, a genius, could turn Lovemaker into the great Black hope. He could be the architect of Love’s bronze bust.
