Maybe. Look at Seattle - basically a "no name" defense. You gotta think the scheme/coordinator has a lot to do with their success. Do you really think Leonhard has that kind of magic? Or Gannon for that matter?

I'm sitting here half-heartedly watching the game posting rather than getting completely bored.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Look, I bleed red and white as much as anyone on this site, but I'm actually ok with MLF's DC choice on this. I love me some JL, but he's definitely no slam dunk hire, either. Gannon has qualities and accomplishments with the Eagles that make this hire very defensible.

I think they were #1. Their roster shows 25 guys on IR.

Imo either of us could have effectively ran a defense if given Philys front four and personnel. I am not saying it was a crap hire. But to say I have reservations about the flowers hires and leadership in holding his staff accountable would be very fair. I still really liked Jim Schwartz if you wanted an asskickin leader and great dc.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

We'll see hahahaha - both how the Packers do with Gannon and the Bills with Leonhard. I sorta echo what Suds said. Also, I definitely would not have wanted Schwartz as our DC.

I will give Leonhard this: in Denver, he did a great job developing the Oedipal son of Kate Moss, Riley Moss.

As NFL GMs, including the German Shepherd, would rather search the streets of Baltimore for shutdown corners than the cornfields of Iowa, the odds were stacked against Moss. Is Moss a shutdown corner? Not yet. But I reckon, Moss pimped better than any of the hoes the Packers had playing corner last season. That’s a testament to Leonhard’s ability to develop diamonds in the rough and Cinderella men.

APB, I recall your story that Barry Alvarez didn't offer you a scholarship. You shoulda gone there as an undersized walk-on. Then maybe you woulda been a star shutdown Corner , and you'd be somebody's DC now instead of flipping burgers hahahaha.
