  • Official Offseason Workout/OTA's/Minicamp Thread

GREEN BAY – The NFL announced offseason workout dates for all 32 teams Friday, and the Packers' nine-week program begins later this month.

Voluntary workouts start April 20, with organized team activities (OTAs) scheduled for the weeks of May 26, June 1 and June 15.

    OTA Dates: May 26-27, May 29, June 1-2, June 4, June 15-16, June 18

In between the second and third weeks of OTAs, the Packers will conduct their mandatory minicamp from June 9-11.

The Packers also will hold a post-draft rookie minicamp either the first or second weekend following the draft, with specifics to be announced later.

The continued problems with the site are seeming to mirror the struggles of our favorite team. Hopefully the site gets smoothed out because I have more faith in Mad than I do in Brian Gutenkunst.

Happy to be wrong and see a healthy team run to a 1 or 2 seed, but I see a flawed roster that is trying to catch magic by filling gaps with aging players and players that have flashed but aren't consistent. It could all come together, but generally the more "I hope"s you have, the more likely to end up disappointed.

The way the team has finished the last couple of years has really left a sour taste in my mouth. This is a team that now looks good in first quarters and first halves of seasons, then falls apart.

Not sure how you change that mojo, but I'd venture to say that if it happens again, The Flower might wilt.

Maybe, but I'd venture to say, with the talent the Packers have, it likely won't happen again - barring extreme bad luck of injuries, of course.

The #Packers have brought in wide receiver Chase Claypool for a tryout in their rookie minicamp. Claypool, a second-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020, was on the Packers' radar in 2022. They tried to trade for him but the #Bears offered a higher pick and acquired him.

Isaiah Jacobs doesn't look anything like Josh. Not at all.

I've got my guy for camp

                  Dain Walter, OT, Wisconsin-La Crosse

Walter is a local-ish player out of La Crosse and was one of the best offensive tackles in Division III last season. While he’ll need to add bulk, he tested well at Pro Day and comfortably hit the Packers’ ideal agility times for offensive linemen.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

From the most respected name in the scouting busines, NFL Draft Diamonds. https://nfldraftdiamonds.com/2026/01/dain-walter/

Wisconsin–La Crosse left tackle Dain Walter has established himself as one of the top small-school offensive line prospects in the country. A three-year starter and blind-side anchor for the Eagles, Walter capped his senior season with First Team All-American and First Team All-WIAC honors after a dominant campaign in which he did not allow a single sack. Standing 6-foot-6 and 312 pounds with long arms and powerful hands, he offers a prototype tackle frame paired with proven durability, consistency, and high-level production.

Walter’s NFL potential is rooted in his blend of physical tools, disciplined technique, and relentless competitive effort. He plays with a high motor and attention to detail, displaying polished footwork, strong hand usage, and the lateral mobility needed to mirror edge rushers in pass protection. His ability to control defenders with length and leverage, recover when challenged, and finish blocks through the whistle reflects traits that translate to the professional level, giving him legitimate NFL upside.

Badgers wrap first pro day week … The first week of the annual pro day schedule wrapped yesterday with a workout at Wisconsin. All 32 NFL teams were represented in Madison; unfortunately, though, the Badgers’ highest rated prospect not invited to the combine – RT Riley Mahlman – didn’t do a whole lot. Mahlman, in fact one of… Read More »

In the end, the most intriguing prospect at the UW workout may have been OT Dain Walter, a consensus DIII All-American at Wisconsin-La Crosse who measured in at around 6-6, 312 and posted a 5.15 40 clocking along with 29 reps in the BP, a 31-inch vertical and competitive times in the shuttles. It will be interesting to see if he gets any 30 visits over the next month.

Someone calculate this man's RAS score!

                        From https://big10central.com/school/wisc...36ea918ca.html

Walter’s hands measured at 10 ⅝ inches, which would have been among the largest at this year’s NFL combine, and he proved that his athleticism was comparable to fellow NFL hopefuls that played at higher levels.

                        His results were:

                        Hand: 10 5/8 inches

                        40-yard dash: 5.15 seconds

                        20-yard shuttle: 4.65 seconds

                        Three-cone drill: 7.65 seconds

                        Vertical leap: 31 inches

Broad jump: 8 feet, 11 inches

Bench press: 29 reps of 225 pounds
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
