    That's probably the best move.

He's a LONG way from beiong an NFL reciever and might get killed learning that job.

Reserve and/ or Nickle corner & ST will be just fine for his rookie year.

    • Cory Bofield. I mean Barry Cofield. Drafted where John McCargo should've went. (sorry, still can't get over that pick)

        Damn! Good call.

You've got to love that he's from Alaska though. I can just see him at a playoff game in January, being one of the guys with no shirt on, except he'd be on teh field!

I can't wait for him to say "Frozen Turndra? This ain't no stinkin' frozen tundra!"
Colledge is from Alaska, Spitz is from Florida, in January Spitz'll be wearing a parka under his pads. =).

        • No Rb's drafted. A little surprising there. Whose the best kicker out there?

Wow. That kinda looks like my dick with a wig.
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Gostowski is gone, he's the only Impact Kicker I can see getting drafted, we'll bring in a couple UDFA's.

                  • Vikes take a DE......interesting...

                    Ray Edwards
                    DE, Purdue

                    War Room analysis
Strengths: Has good size and quickness. Explodes at the point of attack. Rolls hips to create leverage against larger opponents. Despite lean frame, can contain outside runs and plays with wide enough base to hold up at the point of attack. Beats most offensive tackles with a great first step. Uses long frame to create separation. Shows fluid pass-rush moves to keep opponents off-balance. Uses speed to set up bull rush, which has steadily improved. Takes good angles in pursuit. Shows the speed to chase down plays from the backside. Is a good open-field tackler.

Weaknesses: Must bulk up. Sometimes plays upright, becoming vulnerable against the run. Tends to fire off the snap out of control when anticipating passes, and gets caught out of position if the play is a run. Must improve at dissecting plays. Is slow to find the ball. Uses athleticism to compensate for mental mistakes. Doesn't always hustle in pursuit.

Bottom line: Edwards, a junior, surprised some with his decision to turn pro because he regressed after a breakout sophomore season. His combination of size and speed make him attractive as a 4-3 end or 3-4 outside linebacker, but he must work hard to mature into a complete NFL end. His physical attributes and upside should earn him a mid- to late-Round 2 pick.

                    Dan Pompei analysis
Has a nice combination of size and athleticism. Is one of the better speed rushers in the draft. Has the body control to work the edge. Had a really good workout. Doesn't always find the ball. Must add some moves. Is not stout against the run. Didn't get along with his coaches. Scouts wonder if he's competitive enough.
No. 14 on Pompei's DE rankings

                    • There goes Elvis Dumervil, I'd like to grab a DE yet too.
                      Thanks Ted!

                        • R Edwards eh? Doesn't he play a lot like KGB? That wouldn't be a bad thing for Minn.

Ok, I'm going out to roll my lawn. Be back in an hour.

                          • Look for Mike Kudla in the 6th or 7th, he's the guy who benched 225 45 times at the combine.

                            One report:
                            Strengths:
Has outstanding strength...Tough and competitive...Very intense with a non-stop motor...Has solid speed and quickness...Powerful at the point...Versatile and can drop into coverage...Hard worker with top intangibles...Had a great senior year.

                            Weaknesses:
Is undersized and lacks the height and bulk you look for...Has short arms...Didn't break into the starting lineup until about half way through his junior year...Has dealt with some injuries and durability is a concern...Probably can't get bigger.

                            Notes:
Tied a Scouting Combine record with 45 reps of 225 lbs. in the bench press...Could potentially move to outside linebacker...Notched 9.5 sacks in 2005...Stock is really on the rise and he is drawing a lot of positive attention.

I said last night that he is Aaron Kampman, Jr. i'm sticking to my word!

20.5 sacks last year. Why did he drop!?
