We just might see him out there in a wheelchair next week...Originally posted by BallHawkIf he's he's around 70%, I'd think they might send him out a few times a game, just to get him warmed up.Originally posted by Lurker64Given our receiving corps though, you have to admit Driver doesn't have to be full speed to make a major contribution. If he's 85% and not at risk of reinjuring himself, he'll be on the field.

Oops, Partial. I misread your info and thought you were indicating who out there was better than our #4 as opposed to who we should have signed that was better than our #4.
I'm not going down that road again; I've put my free agency views to rest and am anxious to watch Favre break records this year and our defense develop.
I don't know who was worth the money and who was not and I've flushed all of my free agency wishes down the toilet for the season.TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

I'll save you the suspense; A lot of f-bombs and shouting.Originally posted by JustinHarrellI'm curious to see how Favre responds without Driver. We have guys who are just as capable of making plays. Will they make them when they get the ball? We'll find out soon enough."I've got one word for you- Dallas, Texas, Super Bowl"- Jermichael Finley

Ok, lets try this.
You know how devastated I was when Thompson let Green leave. Not because Green was the end all, be all, but because we hadn't really developed ANYONE to take his place. Yes, he's old, yes he's on the downside, yes he got overpaid. NONE of it really matters as he's still a hell of a lot better than what we've got.
Ignore the money for just a minute. How would a backfield of Green, Morency, and Jackson look headed into this season?
In addition to forcing the defender to respect the run, we've now taken a little pressure off both the OL, and the WR corps.
Now. I still don't believe that Green needed the contract he got to remain in GB. There WAS an opportunity to lock him up before free agency. It is pretty likely that Green got lowballed. We had the money, we could have overpaid a little.
Partial - you're bitching about receivers, I could care less about receivers. We need RB's and TE's. They COMPLEMENT the Wr corps. Our young guys will be fine if we don't need to DEPEND on them.
As to the sarcasm, yes, I guess there has been enough of that. But what you don't realize, is, it is the only thing I've successfully used to "lower my expectations" as Bretsky puts it.
this team is not very good in several areas, and very unproven in others. Relying on "IFS" has never been a strong point for me.
I've been clear. I DO NOT LIKE Ted's short term plan. I like the long term one. I think this team will be pretty good in 2009, and perhaps 2008, if some things go pretty well.

I hear ya RG. I'll eat my words and be humbled if we suck. I don't think Driver going down is enough of an excuse for this team to just fall off. We still have Favre. We still have an Oline that has been really good in pass pro. We still have WR's who can catch the ball and make plays with the ball. You have fair complaints and concerns. We'll just have to see how it goes against Philly. We've still outplayed three playoff teams in the preaseason. Things don't look as good as they did three hours ago but they still look good IMO.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.
