He said Rodgers rather than any QB the Vikings have, not Favre...how'd he get into the argument. Unless I completely understood the original comment.

"Rodgers rather than any QB the Vikings have" He has way more potential than anybody the Vikings can boast. He could have went #1 overall pretty easily to the sorry ass 49ers. A couple years behind Favre is gonna make him the next Viking slayer

Let's see, people are saying that Leinert would have gone before Rodgers last year, and what position was Leinert drafted in this year? What position was Rodgers ultimately drafted in last year? Were the Packers looking at possible Qb's in the draft or FA this year? Are there lots of questions about whether Rodgers is even capable as a pro? Based on all of this, No I don't want him over anything on the Vikes current roster.

The backup Hinder Packer QB hasn't shown anything thus far. Johnson was 7-2 last year as a starter and won a superbowl a couple of years back.
You can believe whatever you want....I do know your current head coach rated Alex Smith higher than Rodgers last year, and Smith hasn't exactly impressed either. He may be ok as an NFL QB someday, I don't know but I wouldn't be all fired up about a Tedford product.

The Packers didn't choose QB because they had many needs, and unless you are Matt Millen you aren't going to take a QB in the 1st rd two years in a row. And for what Rastak just pointed out.
