I thought Pope'd be a player and that Marquand would finally get it together. I also predicted a paltry 10-6 on the season, so I share Joe's angst.

I thought Justin Harrell would be starting by now. Turns out he never cracked the rotation and eventually got hurt. Grape juice tastes good with crow.

A few of you guys should be eating some crow for doubting that Ruvell Martin can be an effective receiver.

        I never doubted you, Ruvell.
Effective? Hmm, I think that is open to debate. Our 5th receiver vs. their 5th db.
Maybe you're both right, but not for the reasons you suspect. Ruvell is effective as a receiver because he's better as a #5 than the fifth db on most/all teams. But he's not effective as a #3 or perhaps even a #4, because he's just not that good. So it's more a measure of the Packer's depth at WR more than Martin's talent.

I don't care as long as he keeps getting his crotch grabbed in the end zone stands...sorta gives a whole new meaning to that "Caption This" thread, doesn't it?

I thought Brandon Jackson was a great pick. I thought Daryn Colledge would be another Mike Wahle (although it's not too late for that).

I thought we would be 10-6 for the year losing to SD and Denver teams we already beat. I thought Morency would have a pretty good year with Jackson. I don`t have to eat too much crow. I always drink lots of koolaid every year and think we can win every game. But seriousness I thought we would be good enough to get in the playoffs, just did`nt think we could be the number 1 seed.

I'm fairly omnipotent and my sister's hot friend is a clairvoyant, but even we didn't think the Lions would ever have a winning season with Millen at the helm. Although a 6-10 season is still technically possible, even that would be twice as many wins as I thought they would have.

Gotta eat crow for my doubt that this team although decent (I was thinking 10-6 with a first round exit in the playoffs) was still a playmaker or two away from contending next year. Was also worried that this would be the year that Harris saw his play decline and that Woodson got injured.

Now how's that song from the 80's go? "The futures so bright, we gotta wear shades?"

I thought for sure that Jackson would turn out to be at least solid. I figured between him and Morrency there would be 1200 yards not 1200 feet.

Take a bow if you thought Favre would have more passing yards right now than Brady or Manning.

Same here. I thought Morency would break out this year as well.

Thought Hawk would make the Pro-bowl.

Never doubted our ability to move the ball, but I thought we'd have much more trouble scoring TDs.

Didn't think Jennings could be that kind of deep threat, and when he caught that jump ball Sunday it became official - we may have really replaced Walker afterall.

Didn't think MM's offense would be as dynamic as it has been.

Knew Lee would have a rebound season, but not like this. He should make the Pro-Bowl.

Lots can change though, there's still half a season left.

Two Crows for me to eat (Kentucky Fried Crow, BTW)

A friend of DeShawn Wynn's family came up to me at my gym and went on at length about how proud DeShwan was to be a Packer (Wynn's from Cincy) and how committed he was to show the world he got screwed at FLA. I was gonna post at length about it, but only fired off a small post on the subject. I reserve the right to regurgitate this crow if Wynn comes on like crazy next year.

One I gotta swallow is my problem with TT. I've never felt we have gotten our fair share of the street FA market. NO rebuilt their D last year with the Scott Fujita's of the world, while we always seem to get the Adrian Klemm's.

TT's philospophy is to go with the kids. I've always felt rookies get ya beat. Now I see TT's point. Street FA's have only so much to offer. A low ceiling if ya will. But they do know the job. So the street FA is gonna take practice reps from the young kid that might become a superstar. The Donald Lee, the Bigby, etc.

I give up, I'll eat mine & give TT his due on that one. Keep finding these great kids & I'll quit worrying why we don't sign Nate Clements or Wil Witherspoon when we got the $.

If Grant can keep it up, then I will eat crow on not signing AG.

I would eat crow on Moss, but I think both sides were right. If Moss was on this team I think he would have had added an unbelievable dimension, but on the other hand we are getting along nice without him. No one eats crow IMO.

Also, I have always like TT and his methods, but I always wanted him to be more aggressive in free agency. Hopefully, we can keep winning and I can be wrong about that to.
