Just eat your bird and shut the hell up!

I need to eat a whole flock of crow for thinking that the people in GB might be a bunch of uptight whiteys. It was the friendliest place I have every been. I would move there if I could..
You've been to the promised land, Bro. Now you'll head back there for the rest of your life.

      I do.

Obviously, I can't make a promise to be there, but damned if I don't try my darndest to be there. After all the fun this year, I would hate having to read about it only next year.

Besides, I wanna see Mad's rematch with the Sister of Gozilla!

            Save some crow for me.
When the schedule came out for this season I wasn't sure they'd get 6 or 7 wins. I'm happy to be wrong!

Crow about predictions??? Absolutely, gladly so...

Crow about a few players??? Yes... Jones has stepped right in as a competent #3, Jennings (derided the pick, but did a quick about face after seeing him in training camp last year) has proved to be the real deal, and my favorite player, Nick Barnett, has proven that even stupidity can be overcome by repetition.

Not crow about the things that have led to our current success.

Offensively, I've been saying all along that the combination of run blocking scheme/passing system cannot play SB calibur ball w/o a pro bowl calibur QB. Favre is having perhaps his best season... I give the credit to both Favre and McCarthy. McCarthy and Philbin have put together some great game plans.

If I'm not mistaken, the Packers are the most pass heavy team in the league (65% or so, I'm guessing - too lazy to look it up)... it is to McCarthy and Philbin's credit that they're not "running the ball, just to run it" - as McCarthy said.

Defensively, the only way this scheme can be effective is with an outstanding DL. While I thought the DL was the strength of the team, they've been even better than I thought they could be. Sanders really doesn't need to blitz much... this DL is one of the best in the league.

              8-1 is sweet!!!

                No fair.

Wist marinated his crow in wine and rosemary, deboned the meat and roasted it a l'orange and served it with a nice red wine, not too dry.

It's not supposed to be pleasant!
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Here I thought Wist was ready to throw in the towel and eat a bit of crow on Nick Barnett

It's great to eat crow when things turn out better than expected

Wist, that might be the finest backhanded compliment I've ever read. My side hurts from laughing.

This is a good (and humbling) thread.

I gotta eat it on Abdul Hodge (big time), and Bob Sanders, whose neck I was perfectly willing to slit about 12 games into the season last year. He just might be a keeper!

I saving a serving for Harrel, but I'm full today!

I gotta eat it by predicting a 7-9 Packer 2007 season. Yummy!
