But you will gain a greater appreciation for older women, until you get to the point that your "tastes" in women span a range of about 50 years or so!

It could be worse - she could tell you that you remind her of the crazy guy down at the homeless shelter - not that that's happened to me or anything - well, at least not more than once or twice.

My taste in men has changed....no longer interested in the 21-27 group. Now looking for a handsome middle-aged man, like maybe a retired military man with lifetime health benefits. I could retire with full benefits at a nice young age if I didn't have to worry about paying for health insurance

My father died at home yesterday after a 14 month duel with lung cancer. Not a fair fight. My mother and I were with him all week and in his last hours. From the time he entered hospice on Monday he went through about six weeks worth of the dying process in four days. At four o'clock he was asking for a drink and a tissue. At five o'clock he asked us to turn on the lights (they were already on), and at 5:05 I called my children to have them come and say goodbye. I left his side at 5:20 to answer the phone and he slipped away in that moment with my mother holding his hand. Cancer is a cruel disease and it robbed him of all strength. The pain was relentless. We are grateful that the end was peaceful, though a little stunned at how rapidly he slipped from us. I know many of you have been there and felt such loss. It is just cathartic to share.

Very sorry for your loss Swede. Reading your post immediately brought me back to being with my dad in the weeks/days before he passed, also of cancer, 7 years ago (can't believe it's been that long!) You are right, cancer is a very cruel disease! I hope your experience with Hospice was as good as ours...they helped our family in many ways. That is a very nice picture you posted of your dad. Looks like a very peaceful place. Take care of yourself!

Going through my dad's stuff with mom we found a baseball autographed by the 1969 Minnesota Twins. Bob Allison's wife was a nurse at UM hospital where my big bro was a frequent patient due to cystic fibrosis. She arranged to have Bob come in and visit him and he brought along a bunch of Twins swag, including a baseball signed by the '69 Twins team which included Billy Martin and Early Wynn as manager and coach, Harmon Killebrew, Jim Perry Jim Kaat, Rod Carew Graig Nettles, Tony Oliva, Cesar Tovar, and the rest.

Looking online that baseball is worth maybe $150 bucks. Sheesh. I'll bet you could get $150 for Aaron Rodgers' toenail clippings. It is funny how sports memorabilia values are so arbitrary and illogical. Aaron can make toenail clippings (and autographed photos) for a good long while, but you won't ever get Billy Martin and Early Wynn and Harmon Killebrew to sign a baseball for you again.

I know what it comes down to, though. Despite the Hall of Famers on that ball, few interested at more than $150, and I wouldn't let it go for five times that.
