The Van has the Sirius so whoever had that has a la carte of radio stations
If only I could program that to be the only station to listen to
C'mon man.
I've listened a couple of times when I've had rental cars. Playboy radio is terrible.
The evenings are terrible; but the mornings and afternoons are alright sometimes. Anyways I still dig it when my wife listens as it helps her to focus on the good things in life

Sad day for my boy. His baseball season cut way short. For not being a contact sport how bizarre is it that he got his nose broke for the second time in less than 2 weeks! Although this time was much worse....has multiple fractures on both sides of his face to include a cracked orbit.
I think next I'm going to encourage him getting into theater or something of that nature. Feel so bad for him, vicodin is taking care of the pain but nothing helps how bummed out he feels.

My kid is an athlete too, 007, and he works really hard year round with practices, weight lifting, speed work, and nutrition. I'm not sure everyone knows how hard prep athletes work these days. You've shared enough for all of us to know how much baseball and sports meant to your boy. When high school kids have season or career ending injuries the emotional pain is no less than that felt by a professional. Ouch! I Hope he heals fast. There is no cure for disappointment except the promise of the next competition, the next season, the next challenge. I hope that intervening time doesn't pass too slowly for you all.Originally posted by GrnBay007Sad day for my boy. His baseball season cut way short. Thanks for the kind words swede and mraynrand. You are right swede, things are very different now and these kids are really training hard. I just feel so bad for him. Maybe we will get some good news when he sees the ENT specialist on Tues. He was playing for 3 different teams this season....made the HS freshman team as an 8th grader, a traveling tournament team and still in Little League. Surprisingly enough he seems to be most bummed about Little League. At this level the all star team skips district level play and moves right to state level play and he was really looking forward to that. Who knows.......maybe? His coach came to the ER when we were there Fri. night and gave him some encouraging words....6 wks to heal. Just hope it didn't get his hopes up too much before we see the doc on Tues.Originally posted by swedeMy kid is an athlete too, 007, and he works really hard year round with practices, weight lifting, speed work, and nutrition. He was playing center field and running for a fly ball. He called it but apparently the kid playing right didn't hear him. He dove for the ball and I think the other kid must have looked down at the last minute and saw him there and then maybe tried to jump over him but put his knee right into my son's face. He was knocked out for a couple minutes. Lots of blood, mostly from the nose but some from his mouth too as he has braces. I thought for sure his jaw was broke. He can't talk very well cause he can't open his mouth very far. He's on liquids and soft foods for now. It's really unfortunate because he really didn't need to be there. He had already made the all star team based on his play throughout the season, but he went because he felt it was the right thing to do....that, and he never misses out on a chance to play ball.
He was fine with getting pampered Fri. and Sat. but today he's pretty grumpy and doesn't want to talk or be around anyone. Maybe it's all just sinking in? I don't know.

somtimes the best work strategy is to not take no for an answer and scream loud enough so everybody at the top is forced to get involvedTERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. It's worked well for me. Though you do have to keep the screaming to an absolute minimum so they know when you really mean it.Originally posted by Bretskysomtimes the best work strategy is to not take no for an answer and scream loud enough so everybody at the top is forced to get involved"Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings

I just digitized "Breakfast in America" off a 26 year old cassette tape using Audacity. Unbelievably good quality! I am taking the long way home!"Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck
