I wholeheartedly agree with what somebody said above that we ought to de-emphasize the 12 or 13/2 or 3 TE crap and make better use of our plethora of high quality WRs. I guess Sky Moore is doing fairly good, which also is a bit concerning or whatever, as I'd rather see Neyor or Sturtevant or both make the team.

You are joking about Campbell being the son of Scott (either poster or QB), aren't you?
The Frog (LaFlower) loves tight ends. Refuses to run his offense without one. Frog’s been head honcho for, what, 8 years? He has ran a 4WRs, zero TE formation only once. Never once has he run a 5WRs formation.

Fat Mike, on the other hand, ain’t afraid of dashing out 4-5 WRs formations. Hell, he also runs the wishbone, the Pistol Pete and even the Pistol Force Offense (not to be confused with the Pistol Force Defense).

The Packers were awarded WR Chris Hilton off waivers from the Commanders.

Packers signed two WR because Golden (toe) and Reed (ankle) got banged up from Family Night.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

      • So if Monk delivers and puts Belton on the bench, the Packers clearly want Belton to be available as a Tackle. And that was his position in college.

Monk is a natural inside player. He's not winning the Flanagan/Tretter award for his ability to play outside. Both Belton and Kinnard would be RT depth. Who is the backup LT? Belton has not played there at all as a pro.

And does Monk's ascension change the 53 at the end of camp? In terms of a roster move, you elevate a Center/Guard and demote a Guard/Tackle.

John Williams at LT has been getting good reviews. Maybe he's the swing tackle. Or maybe they have a backup at each T position.

Belton seemingly not showing progress is for me the biggest disappointment of training camp so far.

I am officially* not concerned as it might be his second best position. I guess we will see where this setback takes him. Would love for him to win it outright. Monk seems to be getting it for effort so far. I guess we will see in the preseason.

*unofficially I am a little disappointed

              Starters:
              Love
              Lloyd
              Swinson - Dabney
              Williams - Neyor
              Morgan - Burton - Rhyan - Monk - ZBB

              LVN - brooks - Wyatt - Brinson - Sorrell
              Zaire - Coop
              Nixon - Cisse
              Williams - X
              Oladapo was the nickel.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Evan Williams sack of love early in team. Love sails one for Moore on a screen Love deep down the field to Melton. Underthrown but Melton comes back and rips it away over Nixon for a bit of a mossing. 25 has to make that play. Fantastic from Melton.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Sturdivant rep with the 1’s!!! Brinson barrels through easily for a pressure on Love but Love hits Watson over the middle for a big pickup off play action. Moore jet sweep goes nowhere. Add Donovan Jennings to the RG competition. He’s getting reps with the 1s there again.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Jaylin Simpson with a run stuff off a corner blitz. Jonathan Ford meanwhile threw Belton right to the ground on the play. Words were exchanged. McCord to Sheppard for a nice pickup. McCord is settling in pretty well as of late. McCord with another completion off a beautiful guitar fake
              Bill Huber@BillHuberNFL

Like yesterday, St-Juste is in for Nixon for the 1’s second set of snaps.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Mosby nice run stuff on Martinez. St-Juste now with the ones for Nixon. St-Juste all over an outside run to Lloyd. Just about every time the offense tries something outside the defense completely shuts it down. They really fly to the football. Neutral zone infraction on LVN
              Rob Demovsky@RobDemovsky

The state of the Packers offense right now — skill position players who repped with the No. 1 offense early in the first team period were: RB: MarShawn Lloyd WR: Christian Watson, Savion Williams, Isaiah Neyor, Bo Melton, J. Michael Sturdivant TE: Messiah Swinson, Drake Dabney
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Love throw away off of pressure. Defense showing some exotic pressure looks again. Jonathan Gannon is fun. Chris McClellan just burst into the backfield for a stuff of Strong for a loss. Love a bit behind Watson but looked like a drop. Some trickeration leads to a Wide ass open Bo Melton for a 50+ yard td. Looked like Williams may have got caught.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Taylor down the left sidelines for about a 20+ yard gain to Sheppard. Well designed. Perfect pass. Nixon currently working with the 2s. Hadden is with the 2’s in the slot. McClellan off to a great start. Had a sack of Taylor. St-Juste now in for Nixon with the 2s.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Taylor to Sturdivant for a big gain over the middle. Looked like Perry may have taken a bad angle. Stackhouse well into the backfield for a huge tfl on a toss on an end around to Prather. McDuffie with a would be sack on McCord. J. Nixon couldn’t pick him up.
              Rob Demovsky@RobDemovsky

Anthony Belton getting looked at by the trainers after shaking his left arm. Now back with a wrap/brace near his elbow.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Nixon back with ones. Pretty heavy rotation between him and St-Juste. Cisse certainly feels like a Week 1 starter. Still a lot of time left but he’s been consistently there and more than looks the part. Really strong early returns on the 2nd rounder.
              Ryan Wood@ByRyanWood

Jordan Love targets Christian Watson in a deep out to left sideline, and perfect coverage from Brandon Cisse breaks up the pass. The rookie continuing to have a strong camp.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Two minute drill for the offense.
1:00 left. Tie game. One timeout. 1st and 10. Starters up first. Completion to Moore Incomplete Completion to Williams - timeout Drop by Swinson 2nd and 10. Ball on own 42.
39 seconds left. No timeouts Love to Watson, perfectly covered by Cisse. PBU. Watson did well to contest it so it wasnt picked. Love to Williams. Fantastic anticipation and a diving catch by Williams. First down. Clock ticks. Great coverage by Cisse - better offense. Spike Love to Dabney for 7ish. 12 seconds left. 3rd and 3. No timeouts. Ball on opposing 36. Love complete to Strong for a first down. Out of bounds. Would have been about a 47 yard fg for the win but no attempt. Solid job by the offense.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Same situation for 2’s. It’s actually 1:10. Not 1:00. Penalty backs them up 10 yards. Assuming a hold. Incomplete to Martinez. 2nd and 20.
54 seconds left. What a fricken anticipation throw by Taylor to Johnson for a big pickup. Simpson didn’t know what happened. Johnson turned his head. Ball was perfectly placed. Taylor spinning it today. Timeout. Taylor to Johnson incomplete along the sidelines.
41 seconds left. Tie game. No timeouts. Ball on opposing 42ish. Taylor to Johnson complete for about 7. Out of bounds. Taylor to Sheppard on a slant. First down. Clock ticks. Spike.
25 seconds left. 2nd and 10. Ball on opposing 27. Taylor throw away. Taylor throw away to waste time. Would have been about a 45 yarder for the win. No kick.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Savion and Oladapo first up as gunners. LVN also in on punt return team.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Love to Watson - classic out route. Always money. Brook nice win inside. Love pressured - overthrows Moore. St-Juste in coverage. Evan Williams blitz forced a quick throw to Dafney. Complete but Oladapo all over it for a short gain. Sorrell with an immediate sack of Love. Looked like a twist inside.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

McDuffie sack of McCord on an inside blitz. Anthony Campbell shoots through for a would be sack of Drones but he fires anyway for a big gain to Sheppard. Sheppard has been really solid all throughout camp.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Nazir Stackhouse just exploded through the line for a tfl on Lloyd. He’s had a nice day today. Love pretty crazy back foot fade away through to Moore. Only a few but took a crazy pass to get it there. Love all day to throw but can’t find anyone. Coverage sack for Oliver. Love beautiful timing throw in the end zone to Moore for a TD. Pretty pass. Oladapo in coverage.
              Andy Herman@AndyHermanNFL

Sorrell shoots through for a pressure on Love. Looked like he beat Belton. McCord to Sturdivant over the middle for a nice gain. Defensive line has been beating up on the offensive line in just about every phase today. Jaden Crumedy stays down for a bit after a play but pops up and is ready to go. Jaylin Simpson picks off Drones in the end zone to end practice. One of the real pleasant surprises of camp so far.
              Bill Huber@BillHuberNFL

Practice ends with what might have been a 99-yard pick-six by Simpson.
