Good receiver for a small school guy, but I'm shocked he timed that fast. He won't make this team and probably not any other, but it's good to see a kid from NDSU get a shot with the Pack. He's from Wisconsin.

The Packers like to bring in receivers for camp so the offense can run. I'm sure they're also competing with Ruvell for that last spot.

Ruvell should really have no fear because he's good enough to catch on somewhere. Still, it must suck to always be the 5th guy, barely latching on to a spot.

I haven't seen Sutton play much, what sort of RB is he? We could use a third down back, but I don't know about his top end speed.

          Wrong thread, but. . .

Ruvell is a guy I think could really benefit from this new speed/functional training.

My biggest problem with Ruvell is his get up and go. He seems to labor off the line and doesn't have great top end speed either. I'm not so worried about the top end speed, but if he could get a little more sudden with is get up and go, I think he could separate more and make better use out of his reliable hands.

Here's Kole catching another game winner. This time with 7 seconds left against Rhett Bomar and Sam Houston State.

              Press Gazette:

Green Bay Notre Dame graduate Joe Lardinois, a defensive end/outside linebacker who played at North Dakota State, has been invited to next weekend's rookie minicamp as a tryout player.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Off topic, but what a great play and what a good angle for it.

Who was that Ike kid who was a CB for Wisconsin who wanted to come out for the draft early, but got injured? Where did he ever wind up? Did he ever get signed to play football anywhere?

Jack Ikegwonnu was drafted in 2008 by Philly. Missed the entire 2008 season due to knee problems.

                          Per KFFL:

The Green Bay Packers have signed undrafted free-agent WR Jamarko Simmons (Western Michigan). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
This is a guy I liked, much better than the other three WRs we signed ( Jaron Harris (SDSU), Andy Brodell (Iowa), Kole Heckendorf (North Dakota State)).

I guess we need guys to catch the ball during minicamp drills, but Jamarko might stick.

Simmons is huge for a WR. 6-2, 230. He'll be interesting to watch if he can run decent. http://www.draftcountdown.com/scouti...ko-Simmons.php

I'd have drafted him in the 6th if I were in charge, so I'd definitely make an offer to at least bring him in for a look.
