Do we seriously want to be in the playoffs? We're obviously one and done. We have way too many penalties over and over, no depth in the secondary, lack of pass rush, etc. I just don't see how we could possibly succeed if we did get in.

Anything can happen in the playoffs. Our offense showed up today while our defense did not. This is the opposite of what has been occuring lately. If both sides could show up on the same day, maybe we'd have something special. The lack of depth in the secondary is concerning but we have a pass rush. You need to send more then three though. Capers should have dialed up a blitz on that last play. Make Ben get it out quick. Then tackle the ball carrier short of the goal line. Sending two pass rushers (I dont count Wynn - what a shit player) was a huge mistake. One that cost the Packers the game. Bell had good coverage, you can't make a play on a perfeft throw and a perfect catch. Pass rush was the key there.

I didn't really think Bell's coverage was that bad. He had pretty good position, but it was a perfect pass. Too bad Ben had enough time to find him.

No, Bell started at CB in Denver in place of Champ Bailey. Bell was one of the best CBs on the market.

49ers, with their loss are out. Falcons are out. It's just the GMen, Philly, Dallas and us for 3 spots. One of the other 3 will get the NFC East. We need to take care of business vs. Seattle.

Guess I'd rather lose another AFC game and have the Seahawks and Cards to finish the season. Tough to go into the playoffs with a gigantic streak - maybe this wakes them back up.

Unless I'm wrong, this is the second time this year a team drove down the field with a free pass and beat us.

Very frustrating.

It's much easier to defend against three when you are allowed to hold. Jolly was grossly held on the final pass. Refs called everything else on that final drive; should have called that.

I don't think we should ever been in that position. We put the game in the hands of the refs, we're done.

This was the kind of game where the team that had the ball last wins. Rush #7 with a ton of people and only good things can happen. If they score quick, at least you got a chance to come back with a kick to win.

Allowing any NFL QB to stand back there with all the time in the world to throw is suicide, especially on that field. Rothloesberger was accurate all day. So we give him the ball, all the time in the world and say "Beat us."

It was good coverage. Wonder why they decided to leave Bell in single coverage? Ben had that extra time because Jolly was grossly held. Oh well.


Gotta hand it to the Steelers for that onside kick try. It ultimately gave them enough time on the clock to drive the whole field - good call!

You know, now that I'm a little calmer, I'd have to agree. His position was good, but the one problem he had was that his foot slipped a bit on the bad turf right as he was about to lunge in and try to deflect the pass. If he hadn't slipped, he might well have tipped it. It is true that Big Ben made a hell of a throw.
