Red zone inefficiency in the 1st half was the reason the Packers lost. Two trips inside the Atlanta 5 yield a total of 3 points. On the other hand, Tony Gonzalez left uncovered in the end zone.

I agree. Certainly disappointed in the loss, but I come away from this game thinkin we can win in ATL.Originally posted by gbgary View Postwe played a really good team and nearly won it...even with the mistakes. should have won it. we knew this was going to be a good measuring stick. not that disappointed.
So much went wrong and we still were a blown ST play from overtime.Go PACK

Remember all those stats I posted on how Packers fared in close games? You read my post and it just adds to it. That's what I meant.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostHuh?? I don't get this.
We played a team that is 8-2 at their place. ATL has all of their offensive weapons and we held them to 20 points.
In all reality we should have won this game. The ST was poor, mistackles all over, the refs miss a dropped pass on 4th down by ATL before half and GB doesn't challenge. And we fumble at the ATL 1 yard line. Any of those and we win the game.
How about ARod sliding feet first 3 times and getting hit on 2 of them and no penalty is called? ATL played a damn good game and we hung with them the whole game even with all of our fuck ups. We held ATL to 315 total yards. Ryan didn't even throw for 200 yards.
Now I'm just rambling.
And yeah, Atlanta is probably the better team. I fully acknowledge that, Dan.PackerRats Thompson D. Yahoo Fantasy Football Champ 2019,

And we still lost. Enough of us losing every close game this year. 4 losses all by 3 points each. In every game we made the mistake to lose it while the other team did not. 18 penalties against Chicago. Dropped passes and missed field goal against Washington. Lining up over the center against Miami. Fumbling on the goal line and stupid runs down there as well today.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostHuh?? I don't get this.

Really, are we back to this?Originally posted by Numb View PostCan't.....That's TTs first round pick
ARod, Hawk, Harrell, Raji, CM III and Bulaga
Getting talent to GB sure isn't TT's issue as GM.But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

So would you rather we had been blown out in all 4 losses? We have played 11 games this year and could have/should have won all 11. I'll take that with the injuries we have sustained this year.Originally posted by channtheman View PostAnd we still lost. ATL is the measuring stick in the NFC and I think we measured up pretty well today. But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I'd rather we win 50% of them. It's unrealistic to expect us to win all of them, but could we please win a couple of them?Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostSo would you rather we had been blown out in all 4 losses? We do seem to have a major problem losing close games. I was happy when we scored the TD but you just get the feeling that the Packers, for the last couple years, cant pull out these types of wins. The special teams and penalties always seems to bite us in the ass. So frustrating. That being said, I will feel a lot better if the Eagles mop up the Bears. But that is no gimmie. The 49ers will PAY next week.
This loss sucks, no doubt. But 7-4 is still a solid record. We move to 8-4 next week most likely and then lock it down for the playoff run. Stay strong cheese heads!

That I can completely get behind. We seemed to shoot ourselves in the foot a lot.Originally posted by channtheman View PostGood point. I think what I might be getting at is that in the close games we lose, WE lose them.
