That helmet to helmet call could've been game changing. Going by the rules, I think it was the right call, but how hard is it for a defender to avoid that? He was engaged with a blocker driving to the QB, who turned into him.

its a bs rule, when the defender is moving in one direction and the offensive guy moves his head into the path of the other guys head. if cam hadn't tried to spin at the last moment and drop his head, then the defender doesn't come close to hitting him in the head

theres nothing a defender can do in that situation, thats why its a bad rule

sorry, but it effects the guys on the team that thinks 40 degrees is the coldest they've ever felt, vs the guys that live in the area where it can get down around zero routinely.

Easy to say, but when you are super pumped, come into a game to establish you belong and the refs call it that way it affects you. Should it, no, does it, yes. Losing mentality? A bit, but again, I watched this happen in the NBA through the Jordan years to the point that Mark Jackson was standing at half court with his shorts pulled down while Jordan dunked at the other end in an "amazing" comeback. It ruins the game. It changes the culture of the game to money first, winning second.

I understand you have to tell your team its "loser mentality" and you must do everything you can to combat the mental toll of it, but the honest truth is that in the end it affects you.
