I think maybe it was the NFC Central) teams drafted whom. I was excited by the brief description of D'Onofrio, whom they drafted in the second, but he suffered a pretty serious injury in his first training camp, I think, and played in maybe two games. Never got to see what he might've been, but he came out of Linebacker U, as Penn State was known.

Terrance Murphy is another second rounder who seemed so promising - and you have to remember rookie receivers didn't have the impact they seem to have these days - but he made a mark early on in training camp. Coaches and the QB (what was that guy's name again? Favor?) loved him, and he had a few nice catches in his first couple games. Then he got hurt - in Detroit, maybe? - and they found he had that narrowed spinal column, and that was it. What a shame. Seemed like he had the hands, the route running, the attitude, to become a go-to wide receiver.
D'Onofrio won a starting job in camp, and started a couple games before getting injured.
Murphy also showed promise as a kick returner, too.

It's a shame neither one had an opportunity to really show what he could do at the NFL level.

Potentially yes, but as we all know that potential never realized itself. Kraft is better in nearly every aspect, and most importantly isn't a one trick pony. If your trick is catching the fade TD inside the 5 its a good trick, but it limits your overall usefulness.

Ain’t even a blue moon gone by, and you punks have already forgotten how awesome J-Mike was.

J-Mike’s performance in the playoff game that saw Butte overthrow a WIDE OPEN Greg Jennings in OT is arguably the greatest performance by a “tight end” in Packers history. Excelled at ALL the S,E,X,Y positions. Too fast for ‘backers, too big for DBs, to echo my pal, Nutz. Could break tackles like Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl.

Yo Bobble, stick to babbling about Yokozunas like Miller, Mitchell, McNabb, Michaels, Morgan, or whatever the fuck his name is - you know, the bum Yokozuna the German Shepherd picked over the great white hope (and Super Bowl champ), Cooper “Flagg” Dejean.

Leave skill playas to a shutdown corner such as myself.

Lesser known, and glad to see him on your list, and it led me to a TIL

Terrence Cardene Murphy (born December 15, 1982) is a former Texas A&M and NFL wide receiver drafted in the 2nd round by the Green Bay Packers, turned real estate entrepreneur, venture capitalist and has completed over $4B+ in sales and acquisitions in his career.
            sounds like he's done well!!!

My 'what if' is always going to be Colt Lyerla. What if he doesn't tear up his knee on family night, sticks with the Pack and has the necessary supports around him? Is it enough to keep him from spiralling out of control?

              Are you fucking kidding me?

Colt Lyerla received a generous, six-figures injury settlement. Used some of the frogskins on drug rehab. Spent a good portion of it on rap demos. Eventually caught Diddy’s attention. Eventually wooed Megan Fox.

Lyerla is known as Machine Gun Kelly today.

              • If Aaron Rodgers retires and then unretires after this season, I think any discussion of him should be moved to this thread next off season.

Sounds like Terrance Murphy did not need the NFL to make good for himself. Go him.

#49ers are signing WR Equanimeous St. Brown after a tryout on Monday. Gives them a little depth at a time with plenty of questions in that room.

If only I had been born with journey man backup QB talent. What a nice headstart in life.
