I’ll stay on record that I thought he was ok and could’ve been decent over time. The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

Well Jake Moody got hurt in the AZ game and it cost them that loss, I suppose having an extra K gives them insurance. I don't know if Carlson is better than Matthew Wright.
For everyone grousing about Narveson, Greg Joseph missed a few kicks, and last night Greg Zuerlein missed two FG's (which would have been the difference in the game). Ol' Legatron also missed a 50 yard game winner against DEN earlier this year.
As for Adams, I don't think he's drama. When he didn't get an extension before his last season, he cut off talks. He always wanted to play with his buddy Carr, and was a Raiders fan as a kid so it made sense. I don't think he was a diva or anything about it. He didn't go crazy public with any of his disputes and didn't pull a Hassan Reddick. He sure didn't want out because of Rodgers either - if he did he wouldn't want to go back to him... he could've asked to stay on the west coast and gone to several NFC teams (LAR, SF, SEA).
Weird move by the Jets, and I think Antonio Pierce doesn't survive Black Monday.

Well, if the Packers agree with you, they can poach Warm Carlson from the practice squad and he can be in the Green-and-Gold on Sunday.Originally posted by Fosco33 View PostI’ll stay on record that I thought he was ok and could’ve been decent over time."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

No thank you on MVS.
What is will the nostalgia with former Packers recently? Bring back Carlson now bring back MVS. Runyan was so great.
Shesh… there is a reason the Packers let them go.But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I'm certainly not for bringing back Carlson. Why did the Packers "let go" MVS and Runyan? Because other teams paid them too much money. If Runyan became available for not much over the minimum, yeah, I'd say snap him up - very doubtful that happens, though. It did happen with Valdez-Scantling. I haven't heard that he has gotten any slower or worse. Not long ago, I woulda said we didn't need him, but injuries do creep up. Maybe he'd catch Love passes better than Rodgers passes. The other guy I mentioned, Welch, was pretty good for us in the preseason.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostNo thank you on MVS.

Who do you cut if you bring back MVS? Heath? MVS is basically a vested veteran at this point - he will cost more than a UDFA rookie will, and I'm not sure MVS is great at ST. Heath is your WR6, who cares.
If you ask why they left THEN, you also have to ask why they are being let go NOW. KC and now BUF have cut MVS, he's on the back end of his career. Runyan will be fine and isn't leaving NYG for a couple of years. Welch isn't displacing Hopper or Wilson.
They might be cheap players, but that doesn't mean they are (still) good players. Has to be a good reason to swap for a younger player on the roster who might have upside, AND knows the playbook, their role on the field and place in the locker room. (and probably has the trust of coaches)
Stupid minor point: if you're on the roster Week1 your salary is on the books, so if you are churning players after that you are just slowly chewing into your cap space. It might only be a million or two, but you might want that million to roll over next year. Lots of things to consider.
I post to this because I think it's fun to see what these players are up to, not because I want them back.
