Someone is gonna sign Chris Blewitt. It may as well be the Vikings. Just so long and the Packers don't sign Shane K. Wideright."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck

@AdamSchefter
On a conference-call tonight with reporters, Colts’ GM Chris Ballard said Andrew Luck's calf strain has turned into a high-ankle issue.
I enjoyed his time here on Earth. At the rate this goes with Indianapolis, Luck will be on life support by November. I hope his Mother gets all those letter from the battle campaign.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I just realized something. Bears hired Chuck Pagano to replace Vic Fangio as DC. Fangio ran a Capers based defense with a matchup zone coverage in the back.
Pagano comes from the Rex Ryan/Mike Pettine school, which is pressure based and man coverage.
Bears going to look a little different this year.
That plus some regression to the mean: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2...e-reasons-why/Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Prolly jumping the gun, but I'm a bit worried about the opener. Bears defense appears to be formidable this season, roster is incredibly strong, except for Ha Ha. Pagano has most all of the players he needs.Originally posted by pbmax View PostI just realized something. Bears hired Chuck Pagano to replace Vic Fangio as DC. The only unknown is Trubisky.

I have survived the in the grasp rule. I survived TD celebrations*, their outlawing, and their revival. I surviving sack dances*, their outlawing and the relaxation of rules. I survived the taunting rule.
I survived the tuck rule. I survived going to the ground. I survived the Calvin Johnson ruling and its repeal by a panel of former WRs. I survived Bert Emanuel's non-catch. I survived the emphasis of no contact on the QB and the ignoring of it in the Cardinals playoff game. I enjoyed that Karma being paid off in the Detroit Rick Rodgers Hail Mary (setup by a pretty brutal flag on a barely hit to the QB).
I survived the reviewed fumble non-fumble of Jerry Rice. I survived the limited rule agains crack back blocks and the rule against combo cut blocks.
But I am not going to survive offensive PI called on this play. And then upheld by the replay review.
* As a rule, if you find someone against both elaborate TD celebrations AND sack dances, you should ignore everything else that person advocates.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

And this is the other side of it. Moaning that obvious pass interference isn't pass interference because they had to go to slo mo replay.
If you want the game reffed that way, then be against slomo replay entirely.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

On the plus side, you can only challenge 3 plays a game if you win the first 2.Originally posted by pbmax View Posthttps://twitter.com/ProFootballTalk/...99229416255488

After 2 preseason games I am wondering if this use of replay challenges might be the one that went too far.But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Need another installment of the (ask) Referee Bill Pitman show.
https://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-l...eferee/2877573
"Are you totally blind, or just legally blind?"
"Were you watching a different game while you were officiating?"
"Do you find it helpful to keep your head up your rear end?"
"It seems as though you were retarded on that play"
"Is there any history in your family of blackouts or hallucinations or fits of dementia?"
"What's in your head, since there's no brain? Is it empty or is it filled with human excrement?""Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck

Honestly, if the review results made more sense than the on-field officials, I'd be OK with the delay. But why wait five minutes for additional stupidity?Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostOn the plus side, you can only challenge 3 plays a game if you win the first 2.

Ol' Rodger governs by press release. The head referee seems to govern through intricate, fractal codicils, that wind around each other in a fascinating but non-predictable pattern.
Worse than that are reporters who bleat about how something should be reviewed then bleat about how they are reviewing details too hard.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I can't imagine it getting any worse than this, but I suppose they'll try. The Redskins conspiracy theorists were to in full force following this one.Originally posted by pbmax View PostBut I am not going to survive offensive PI called on this play. And then upheld by the replay review.

The NFL has explained the call. It was not a flag for the jump ball, but a push off on the 50 that caused the separation. I don't know about the timing. Does seem late for the push off but would be VERY early for the jump ball action.

Using v=1/2at^2, the flag that comes into the picture was thrown almost simultaneously as when the downfield contact occurred, indicating that the flag was being thrown for an earlier infraction.Originally posted by pbmax View PostThe NFL has explained the call.
