Jesus tell me about it. I have a few friends who are bear fans and they have been acting like the team has turned the corner. Hope they win next week so we can put them out of their misery the following week.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostWhy does Spielman keep saying the Bears are improving? Yes, please because that means they beat the cowboys who I detest above all others.Originally posted by yetisnowman View PostJesus tell me about it. Pretty good prediction. Was 3pt lead in 4th.Originally posted by Fosco33 View PostThe reverse jinx?
I think it’ll be 30-10 Packers. Close in opening half and blow them out in 2nd.The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

Probably been talked about, but if the Seahawks beat the Vikings and we beat Washington, Chicago, and Detroit, we can lose to the Vikings and still win the division, right? Better division record because the Vikings lost to the Bears."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

That sounds right. A push in the head to head. Next tie breaker is division record. After that is conference I think?Originally posted by HarveyWallbangers View PostProbably been talked about, but if the Seahawks beat the Vikings and we beat Washington, Chicago, and Detroit, we can lose to the Vikings and still win the division, right? After division, it's winning pct. vs common opponents.Originally posted by Zool View PostThat sounds right. A push in the head to head. Next tie breaker is division record. After that is conference I think?
TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more teams in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.
Two teams
1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the teams).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
5. Strength of victory.
6. Strength of schedule.
7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
9. Best net points in common games.
10. Best net points in all games.
11. Best net touchdowns in all games.I can't run no more

A thread about a month back asked who our biggest challengers are for the NFC. I didn't comment because at the time I was not convinced we were one of them.
San Fran and NO are definitely a step ahead of us, maybe a few. Seattle "might" be as well. I'm not sure if we are better than the Vikes or not.
With that being said, gotta be happy with the team as they are doing better than nearly everyone expectedTERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
