I'll save you the time. There isn't any. Rodgers sucked massive donkey balls in his first two years. He looked like horse shit. Fans back then were reacting the EXACT SAME WAY as many of you are now, claiming that Thompson was a delusional idiot for wasting that draft pick and that we shouldn't waste time on developing him. He was one of those "Tedford" QBs who never panned out in the NFL.

I'm not saying Love will ever be comparable to Rodgers, but this revisionist history that Rodgers was some wunderkind when he rolled into GB is flat out wrong. Rodgers struggled mightily in his first two years, and he didn't have to worry about trying to learn the professional game in the middle of a fucking pandemic that has turned the whole world on its ear. Love did not look ready yesterday. Neither did Rodgers for quite awhile. We need to see far more of Love before we write him off...although I'm certainly in agreement we don't need to see any more of him this year unless we are up by 28 in the 4th quarter.
I think it also depends on what kind of tutelage Love is getting. I read that M3 had rookie Rodgers give the cornerbacks report in the QB meeting and chart every offensive play called and chart what he would/should have done if he were on the field during the games. Maybe that's what everyone does with their young backups, but it sounds like McCarthy knew he had to give some responsibility to the 1st rounder playing behind the checked-out future HoF'er.

I don't know what MaLF has for Love, but I hope it's not just "watch a lot of tape and keep up on the playbook."

I believe in God, family, Baylor University, and the Green Bay Packers.

    • He played better than AR week 1. Lol
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

      • Ruthless Fosco, but true. But considering this context...

The opposition played their best game in week 1. The opposition this week is currently wondering if they can scratch their way to a wildcard.

        ... Does it matter?
