Im leaning this way too. He’s had decent time to throw. Vanilla defense. And he still can’t look dominant, even in spurts. There are a few things to like. I do not like his decision making. It wasn’t just the pick. He double clutched that one that bounced off the guys hands. Totally out of rhythm. Maybe the receiver did something he wasn’t expecting. But he stared it down, double clutched it and fired it into traffic. Another bad one was when he had pressure going a little to his right, he threw up a wounded duck as he got hit. He’s done that before too. He doesn’t have a good feel for if he can get it off. Looks like a backup right now. I still wanna see two more games, but after three years I’m down on him more now than ever before.

Maybe Lafleur and Shannahan talked and the defense wasn’t vanilla. I highly doubt it though. Love should be looking better than this.

Love showed flashes of improvement. A great throw to Doubs down field. Another nice one running full speed to his left. But he’s a tick slow with his decision making and just doesn’t seem to have a feel for the game. This is the most down I’ve ever been on Love and it’s becoming obvious why they stroked Aaron so hard to come back and gave him 50 million a year. Love does not look like it.

The worst thing about love (doesn’t seem to process the game quickly enough) isn’t going to be fixed by fundamentals and coaching. If he looks like this all preseason, I give up.

Well, Love had a chance to show himself capable…and he mostly failed. Accuracy continues to be spotty. His timing always seems just a half tick off. At this point in his career, he should be starting to look better…but he’s not. I gave him a chance to prove himself, but he remains the same shaky kid he was in college. Hopefully we can get a ham sandwich for him.

Hated the pick initially. Really hate it now. Complete waste by Gute for a team that was poised to contend for titles, and wasted a bunch of draft capital on a dud at a position that wasn’t even a need.

I’ll reserve judgement on Love until the end of the preseason. He has shown promise, but I think it’s been difficult playing with the back-ups all over the field. I don’t think it’s been as bad as many of you are making it out to be.

I've seen more to like in two throws from this Etling guy than three years of Love.

So Gute tried to move on from Rodgers, then Rodgers got a front row seat to the dumpster fire that was Gutes decision. Then Rodgers threatened to leave and Gute got on his knees and begged. He gave Rodgers everything including a contract that guaranteed he was the guy as long as he wanted to be.

                    Love is a failure.

SF is a good team playing not vanilla stuff IMO. I will refrain from judgement right now but I would say the signs aren't encouraging.

I want to do that too. But I’m not going to. Put me in the camp that thinks Love is an abject failure right now. I’ll eat the crow later if I’m wrong. Im not too worried about that though.

We can judge this kicker as not being worth keeping

They panned to Rodgers on the sideline. He looked absolutely at peace. He has a new contract that guarantees he’s the guy as long as he chooses. No more grudge. The Packers gave up on Love when they did that deal. Now we all see why.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely think he is not going to be a good player but I don't think this one instance says a lot. I am going merely on the probability from draft position and general reporting/comments from media/bloggers about him.
