You know (or should), I'm Packers all the way.

I got my secondary loyalty to the Cowboys long before Jerry Jones, long before I ever set foot in Texas. It was when the NFL expanded to Dallas and the AFL had the Dallas Texans/forerunner of the K.C. Chiefs. Every loyal NFL fan at that time rooted for the Cowboys to survive and the Texans to get run out of town. Then, of course, there was a degree of grudging respect for the team that came closer to Us/the Packers than the lame assed AFL teams in SB 1 and 2.
A few years after that, I went to Texas, involuntarily thanks to the army.

I've always had a healthy hate for opponents, some more than others. Call me a bad person - as many have hahahaha - but I am happy to see players from anybody except the Packers get hurt (cue the whiny piss ants to start whining hahahaha). If they're playing the Packers, I don't make an exception to that for the Cowboys.

I've always had a degree of respect for Jerry Jones, and that's only enhanced when I hear/read knownothings knocking his overall performance as an owner who is his own GM.

Oh yeah, in keeping with the thread, I say again, I don't want Parsons, at least not at what it would cost the Packers.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Agreed. I think Gary has to be involved for Jerry to sell it to the fans. Gary and a 1st is about my limit though for the right to pay Parsons a kings ransom. Maybe a late day 3 pick besides, but no more.

That's kind of how I feel, giving up a first round pick to upgrade from Gary to Parsons.

I'm not so concerned about the draft capital given up. It's hard for me to rationalize paying an non-QB $45 million per year and how that would degrade the rest of the team by hindering other signings.

Wow, it just happened. I haven't had a chance to check details, but my grandson just called and told me he got traded to the Packers.

Feels like they gave up a lot. 2 firsts and Kenny Clark.

Not sure what I think about Clark being included in the deal.

Especially since two 1st round picks were included.

Very sad to see Kenny go. Wyatt and Snackhouse in the middle?

Glad to have Gary still on board though. Helluva tandem.
