Lets see what a full season of playing everywhere else does to him. I want to be optimistic, but their track record is so bad.

OK, several media guys called this out. That was complete bullshit.

When Gutebag turns into SHITBAG, it almost always revolves around him covering his own ass for bad decisions.

And he often just says..."gotta coach them up" and dumps his shit calls into coach blame.

Lucas Van Ness, Jordan Morgan (who he thought was good enough to play multiple postions but clearly he is not". At best Morgan is a HUGE question mark next year. In reality he looks like another shit pick by Gutebag.

      DRAFT AND DEVELOP----------------DRAFT BETTER GUTEBAG.

He drafts these RAS guys because he thinks their abilities will just allow them to excel all along the line. And in the end, none of them are developing.

Why did we keep BUTKISSS and not just hire Campen again ? Oh right, because Matt is a FLOWER

Did anybody know, that Williams, who was pimped at a ST return guy, only returned one kickoff in college and it was as a freshman ? WTF was that pick in the first place ?

Guter just smarter than everybody else I guess

I don't remember anyone pimping Savion as a special teams guy. Its not in his draft writeups not do I see Gute mentioning it in his draft presser. Now was he a worthy round 3 pick?

            Not so far.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I don't put much stock in the media write-ups. Any evidence the Packers were thinking he was going to be a returner? I doubt with his college resume they drafted him with high expectations in the first year. Definitely need some work, but he has some rare talent if he can work on getting respectable with respect some of the gaping holes in his game. Might never pan our, but need another year before I write him off

              • Williams was always seen as a developmental guy. I didn't like the pick that early, but it's way too early to write him off. I haven't been impressed with the development of the Packers WR's in general, so hopefully the new WR coach can do better.

                Overview
Developmental wideout who offers an alluring blend of physical gifts and untapped potential. Williams is big, strong and fast but very raw as a route-runner and is unreliable with his hands. His production is uneven as a traditional wideout, but he adds a dynamic kick to the offense as a gadget runner and as a catch-and-run option underneath. He excels on power sweeps and is willful enough for consideration on short-yardage and goal-line carries on direct snaps. The ball skills can be hit-or-miss. but there are flashes to work with on tape. The difference between “siren song” or “pot of gold” could rest in Williams’ technical development and the creativity of his play-caller.

                • Yeah, bring back as much as possible ........ and expect the result to be the same - the same as what it would have been without the horrendous run of injuries.

There's nothing wrong with Savion Williams except maybe a tendency to get injured, or maybe it was just bad luck. You could argue that we didn't need another WR when we drafted him, but we didn't really have many other needs either at that point.

This one weights injury based on value.
I know it would be subjective, but I wonder if there's a way to chart which NFL teams have been hardest hit by injuries to their best players. I know there's a general correlation between high salaries and best players, but two of the Packers' top ten players, at least, are on their rookie contracts - Wyatt and Kraft - and they were lost for the season after a certain point. Those were huge hits but not huge salaries. If you could weight "best players" on each team, it would be an interesting list to see who was hardest hit.

Pro Football Reference does have a rating system for each individual player if you want to do the research. https://www.pro-football-reference.c...mate_value.htm

Sitting down and crunching numbers and compiling lists for all 32 NFL teams will sound much more appealing once I'm in the middle of grading papers.

Be careful at taking everything at face value today. Lying is part of the GM job description. You gain no value as a GM by calling out any player or making it clear you want to go in another direction. Actions will speak the loudest. Let’s see what the offseason brings.

                          WHY CAN"T WE FINISH ??

WILDE has said multiple times, that the team was immature last year. He spends a ton of time around them during season. Lots of media, think lack of veteran leadership is a strong part of that.

SO do we shit on ourselves at the end of gamed BECAUSE............

                          1. Our GM doesn't believe in keeping players over 30 unless he's a kicked or long snapper so we lack veteran leadership ?
                          2. Does the coaching suck ?
                          3. Has our GM FAILED us personell wise, perhaps F'cking up our OL so we cannot do anything against the run because our current OL is just sub par ?

                          • According to intel gathered by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler at the Super Bowl, a return to Green Bay isn't completely off the table for soon-to-be free agent wide receiver Romeo Doubs.

"The door isn't closed on Doubs in Green Bay. I'm expecting both sides to at least have some dialogue and see if a return makes sense," Fowler wrote.

Doubs has made it clear during media appearances at the Super Bowl that he would prefer to stay in Green Bay. Whether or not the team can make the numbers work is another, far more complicated matter.

Doubs, a 2022 fourth-round pick, has an expiring rookie contract. Although he led the Packers in targets (85), receptions (55) and receiving yards (724) in 2025, the writing of his future appeared to be on the wall after Green Bay used a first-round pick on Matthew Golden and a third-round pick on Savion Williams and gave Christian Watson a contract extension last year.

With a tight salary cap and resources already heavily invested at wide receiver, Doubs might be a luxury the Packers cannot afford -- especially with the possibility of compensatory picks coming to Green Bay in 2027 if Doubs signs a big deal elsewhere.

                            • If other team's offers for Doubs are not extremely extreme, the Packers really ought to match them. I read something that Doubs would prefer to they offer close to the same amount. True, they have a lot of talent at WR, but nobody else performed nearly as good as Doubs.

Mostly it doesn't seem to make sense, as far as the money and the people in the WR room. But when you think of how many clutch catches he made, you wonder who is going to step up and be that guy. I have mixed feelings. I don't think it's smart, but I like the guy and root for him.

Funny he wants to stay in GB after his one-time walkout. Maybe he was just in a bad place in his head for a minute. It happens. He seems like a pretty genuine guy.
