I am very torn on Doubbs; I want to see Golden and he needs the opportunity to either excel, or fail.

If he turns out to be a bad pick, Gute can add him to his high portfolio of underperforming 1st round draft picks
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

    • I think the Packers should allow Willis agent to talk to other teams right now for a sign and trade 3rd rounder in this draft. Pretty sure it would be legal. No downside whatsoever for the Packers even if it results in him reaching an agreement with a team and waiting for FA to sign it we are right back where we started, and you never know if a team will bite to ink him before other teams have a shot.

      • Why would a team do a sign and trade when they can just sign?

        • There is already a legal tampering period 48 hours before FA starts. No reason to trade a draft pick for earlier access. No player at this point will agree to sign without hearing from all teams interested.

I grant its a definite skill and buys you time and belief, but I never expect 100% honesty.

The Dolphins are releasing veteran edge Bradley Chubb, per source.

Chubb had 8.5 sacks in 2025. He has been very injury prone in his career, playing in just 90 games in 8 years. He played in every game in 2025 after missing all of 2024 with an ACL.

Because if we open this door another team doesn't have to compete with 30 other teams.

                • Do you resign Quay Walker? Shoot IDK that you do. Obviously in a perfect world you do since he's a big guy and a great athlete, but I just don't know about that boy as an ILB. Kinda would like to see him rush the passer a bit.

                  • Walker is not stout enough to play Edge every down. Teams would run on him.

Give him the reverse Purdue DT whose name I can't remember treatment. Chunk that boy up!

                      • There are some interesting older DL FAs in the twilights of their careers who might be available more cheaply for limited roles. Chubb, Mack, Bosa and Campbell all might enjoy playing with Parsons.

Mack would be 1 year older than Peppers was when he joined the Packers.

I think he signs a very friendly team deal or he is down the road.

He is OK but someone you are looking to replace for cheaper/better.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

                            • Walker has certainly shown flashes. But it is for a game here or there. He has the potential but hasn't been the wow guy for a 1st rounder. Keep him on the team with a "good" deal otherwise let someone else overpay for his services.

Whatever we do, don't do an AJ Hawk. Where we pay a middle of the road LB a top of the line contract.

That's also exactly the reason Willis would be nuts to do it..
