  • Yeah, it doesn't make sense to pay bring back Doubs. Doing so would just make it harder to get more opportunities for Golden, who is probably the more talented player.

    • I think the coaching staff must know what they have in Golden now, so if they re-sign Doubs, that's not a good sign. Or it's not a good sign that they think they can sign Watson to a long term deal.

There were also crucial situation drops and the ST screw up by Doubs. To me, Doubs is a nice player to have, but not one of the vet leaders you want/need, and therefore not one worth a big contract. Likely, he will get a better contract from a WR-starved team than the Packers will be willing to or should pay to keep him.

        • I disagree. As I said, they need to go all out to keep Doubs unless the cost just gets so extreme to make it unfeasible. Thee are athletes, and there are football players. Doubs has proven to be the latter.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

For the fans, the football player owes them a victory over the Bears.

And he often just says..."gotta coach them up" and dumps his shit calls into coach blame.

Lucas Van Ness, Jordan Morgan (who he thought was good enough to play multiple postions but clearly he is not". At best Morgan is a HUGE question mark next year. In reality he looks like another shit pick by Gutebag.

              DRAFT AND DEVELOP----------------DRAFT BETTER GUTEBAG.
Who called this out? This was obvious in camp. Bobble was even talking about it here. That he played well at LT was literally everywhere.

Or are they suggesting that there were other ways to cover for injuries at Guard?

              • I think the decision to let Doubs walk was made last year when the Packers drafted M. Golden and Savion Williams.

There are going to be teams that have lots of money and need a proven WR. Raiders and Titans are two teams I'm thinking. Doubs is gonna get PAID. Packers will say they were in talks, but my guess is Doubs is going to get way more than what the Packers can / want to pay.

Edit - Oops, I didn't see Joe Mailman's post by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. I just regurgitated the same thing.

                • Does anyone know where the post is that last linked to a Wilde interview (not his show but someone else interviewing him)?

I saw it in the last week but it was a reply so it could be older. Was some dude from ESPN Wisconsin (on the left side of screen) interviewing Wilde (right side of screen) and he supposedly had info we needed to hear. I cannot for the life of me remember what the topic was or what thread it was in. Search isn't helping.

Well, found the source page: https://goodkarmabrands.com/wod/jason-wilde/

Think it was these 2: What Did We Learn from Gutekunst and the Gutenkunst Blind Spot pieces.

The point Wilde took away from the Gutekunst PC, according to these bits was the only complaint Gute had was they could not finish games. Otherwise everything was hunky dory. Wilde doesn't actually think Gute thinks this, but he thinks Gute is lying and he compares him directly to the ever honest Ron Wolf who would answer any quality "right" question with the truth.

This is utter bullshit. Wolf could persuade the media of anything and he was better at it that almost anyone else I know in football. The only two who come close would be Mike1 and Mike3.

Wolf lied through his teeth at times but always got credit in arrears when he would admit to a past mistake. Usually while defecting a current mistake. This is the theatre review of journalism and is basically worthless. It only measures the media persons level of respect for the performance. Its not telling us anything useful.

                    • Seeing reports that Maxx Crosby told Tom Brady that he will retire before ever playing for the Raiders again. Doesn't want to endure another rebuild and is still carrying a grudge over how he was handled the end of last season.

How about Gary and Jenkins for Crosby? Wouldn't work out, but an old man can dream!

Golden is the faster player. If the 40 is our guide he is more talented. Doubs is better WR right now. Golden can improve some things, but he isn't likely to get bigger. Doubs is prototypical WR build and skill set. If they re sign doubs though, its admitting that drafting Golden was a mistake (and it was)

That's some dream, Patler. That's like me dreaming about dating Miss USA. And I'm 65.

                            I see what you're doing there . . . I think . . .

But you should then also throw in another player or two the Packers are probably going to cut anyway. I think if they included Enagbare and Collin Oliver, the Raiders would bite, for sure!

RON WOLF gave a good interview; that is why the media liked him. Lying or not, he said something. Gutebag doesn't give them shit. He waddled around saying nothing for 45 minutes, and rarely meets with the media anyways
