A lot of question marks, but with some luck (OK, a lot of luck) our OL could be respectable next year. But it revolves around fixing the center problem. Any chance Jenkins takes a pay cut and comes back? I think he can play C, but he needed more than a single camp to get up to snuff. Now he has a camp and several games and potentially a second camp. That could be enough.
But mainly they really have to cut with the idea that you can just move guys all over because they have a tweener body type. That's about as stupid as thinking a RB who runs a 4.3 can find the running lane because you coached him up.
Tauscher, who glorified and defense GUTEBAG WAY TOO MUCH, finally announced the the drafting of Jordan Morgan was a ccompleted F'cked up choice. He acknowledge that GB should have an extra CB with that pick, they are best served re signing Rasheed Wallace, and they kind of pidgeonholed themselves into handing Jordan Morgan the job when they really have no idea how good he will be.
My jaw dropped; Wilde is "ok' with Gutebag, but Tauscher defense him at all costs overall. Tauscher's view of Gutebag is starting to crackTERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

I like the "injury values" idea. We should expand on that one. Did you see a chart or something on this?? I know we lost like 6 of our best 10 players. Real hard to compete like that. Small part of the reason I give MiLF a semi pass. Hafley lost the guy we traded for without giving up much from the year prior and the entire defense went to shit. That reflects very poorly on him imo. But lose Jenkins, Tom, Kraft and I think Banks went down again in the playoff game (I can't even keep track of it all). Its hard to be good. And I forgot Whiskey missed the playoff game as well so Wyatt, Williams, Parsons all out. So many injuries. Perhaps it is all just injury luck at the end of the day.Originally posted by MadScientist View PostHopefully hiring Gannon doesn't mean we will get Arizona's luck.
Most of the teams with low injury values made the playoffs and only the Packers and 9ers made it from the teams with big money on the IR.The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary -- Vince Lombardi

I don't think Morgan will be a dropoff from Walker to be honest. He played really good LT against starters in the fake games and he had 2 nice games at RT towards the end of the year. The idea that he was shaped like a guard so he's a guard even though his entire skillset was tackle was fucked up Gutes thinking. I mean, Jrue is shaped like Curry so he should be lights out from 3 right??Originally posted by Bretsky View PostTauscher, who glorified and defense GUTEBAG WAY TOO MUCH, finally announced the the drafting of Jordan Morgan was a ccompleted F'cked up choice. Based on the graph above, the Seahawks are like the Milwaukee Brewers of football. I now have a reason to care about the damn Super Bowl - rooting for Seattle.
I tend to agree with bobblehead, Morgan can't be any worse than Walker - who I never liked and considered overrated. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

That graph isn't total payroll, its the the amount spent on players who can't play due to injuries. Seattle is just lucky this year. The Brewers had plenty of injuries last season.Originally posted by texaspackerbacker View PostBased on the graph above, the Seahawks are like the Milwaukee Brewers of football. So what does "APY" even mean?
I take from the chart what Mad did - the teams in the final four of the playoffs mostly had good injury luck.
And somehow this chart makes me feel better about the Gannon hire, though that's not really logical."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

I do not think the GM has much of a say in what position guys play in. That would all be on the coaches, mainly Butkiss and Stenaditch.Originally posted by bobblehead View PostI don't think Morgan will be a dropoff from Walker to be honest. I think Average Annual Value is a better way to look at it. The guys that make the most, in general are also the better players. So that chart shows the value cost lost of player games missed. Note Cleveland is skewed high due to the riduculous contract they gave Desaun Watson.Originally posted by pbmax View PostAverage Per Year. Mad was right.
I like the chart because games missed due to injury alone means little if the guys getting hurt are depth guys.
