How successful have the Packers really been the past 30 years? Sure, lots of success during the seasons, making season play very fun. I know that is the most important thing for you, Tex, you have said it many times. That's fine. On the other hand, the team's goal has to be more than that. They have had 34 consecutive years with Favre followed by Rodgers followed by Love netting just 3 SB appearances and only two wins. That is not outstanding success, especially when you consider they have had only one SB appearance (and win) in the last 28 years.

28 years - 1 Super Bowl with 25 of those years having HoF QBs.
Agreed. That much QB talent should have had a lot more SB appearances and wins. Most of us think the Packers should have made it in 03, 07, 14 and 20, but the Packers failed, sometimes in spectacularly stupid ways. The coaching, except for 2010 has been good, but not great. I would also point a finger at the drafting, which has been inconsistent at best. Far to many fails on day 1 and day 2 of the draft.

The Denver Broncos just fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi. Since 2014 Joe has has been the OC in Detroit, New Orleans, LA Chargers and the Denver Broncos. I get the obvious connection with the Packers and grandfather Vince Lombardi, but why couldn’t we give grandson Joe a try Mr. Ed Policy?

Put it this way, I’m sure Joe Lombardi is capable of developing an offensive game plan that goes beyond just half a game and moves into the 3rd and 4th quarters. Lafleur demonstrated in 2025, and not just in the 2 Bears’ games, that he could only plan an effective strategy for half a game. Perhaps the Lombardi family tree could come into Green Bay yet once again and help with this sort of thick headed ineptitude.

He sounds like a re-tread that has been used like the easy high-school girl. I am not sure what he can bring to the table here.

But yes, somebody has to help The Flower figure out how to make his offense go more consistently. They play great for stretches. Then they go into these complete funks where nothing works. I don't care if it's playcalling or execution, it's got to change if there's any hope for a LeFleur team getting to a SB.

So far, the biggest mark of LeFleur's teams over his seasons as a HC is an inability to close out games, whether on offense or defense or special teams or all of the above.

His main contribution was as QB coach when the Saints won the Super Bowl. He was with Payton as OC for less successful years in two stints sandwiched around Lombardi's short tenure as OC for the Lions yielded 11-5 and 7-9 records. He was on the staff with Jim Caldwell. He was fired mid-season in his second year during a six game losing streak.

If Payton doesn't want him anymore, not sure what he has to offer?

I think it was about the 2010 season we use to go out to drive all around where Lombard use to live in Green Bay.

I swear one Autumn we met the home owner outside his house right down there by the Fox River. And didn’t we come up to the guy and say we were doing the Packer Shine thing , remembering Vince Lombardi.
No kidding, he said humbly that he’s heard it before that he owned the same house Vince Lombardi did. But holy fuck didn’t he tell me that the guys at the local bar he knew teased him about taking a SHIT at the very same spot as Vince Lombardi did.

They just don't finish; real qeustion. Is he the worst coach in our division ?
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Well, I Would take a LOT of Sean Payton't Staff over the Flower's chosen ones.

WHO is that overachieving Assistant Head Coach who wasn't deemed worthy of an interview by the Flower ?

They must have a cometent special teams coach. And I'd take most fired OC's over our Offensive Line coach who's imitating on OC

That can be a problem as you get older.

This team folds like a piece of laundry at the ends of games. The defining hallmark of The Flower's teams, I would say.

Talent or coaching? What gets them those leads? What costs them in the second half?

I'm not sure its all coaching. I think the margins are spare. There are too few field position changers/game tilters in the locker room as well.

Packers need a new QB coach.

                      Ian Rapoport
                      @RapSheet

The #Eagles are hiring #Packers QB coach Sean Mannion as their new offensive coordinator, per The Insiders.

At long last, a lengthy search ends with a bright young mind — and former QB — in Philly.

Man, that is a thin resume. Like 4 years coaching in the NFL and QB coach for one year was his highest position?

Luke Getsy and Connor Lewis both have experience working with QB's. Getsy was Packers QB coach 2019-2021. If they go outside, Tanner Engstrand, who was Jets OC in 2025, has been mentioned as a possibility.

                            IMO I would say BOTH

Flower has made some bad game day decisions that have cost us. And Gutebag is nothing special.

Unfortunately our staff seems to be getting worse

The Packers really like him as a rising/shining star The Bears wanted him last year; Flower advised Manion and basically said be sure you come back to me first because I want to keep you on this staff.

Could be a big loss. Eagles stole him and we're stuck with an ugly EGGS at all of our coordinator positions.

ESPN today actually questions if the Flower should have just promoted him to OC and dumped the Flowers Friend, who nobody seems to want.

Did Stenovich get an interview with the Eagles ????
