What’s wrong with Uncle Zack?

Recovering from a partial PCL tear suffered last season. You probably know PCL recoveries are iffy but it sounds like ZBB's is going well.
Seemed like dude was never healthy last season, starting with game 1 when Aidan Hutchinson gave him a questionable block during a Brian Branch interception that was called back.

I don't know what the impact of a lacerated kidney is, but I know Chris Simms almost died from a lacerated spleen. Have to think any kind of injury like that is no joke. Agree they may pick up a TE3 during cutdowns, TEs were way overdrafted this year as teams move to using more 12 and 13 personnel. I kinda think GB should lean the other way and go more 11 with Watson, Golden and Reed.

This could be an evergreen comment about Golden. All he does is get open and catch the ball. He hasn’t made any big downfield catches. It’s 8 yards here and 10 yards there, quite often on third down. Late in practice, for instance, he beat Brandon Cisse on an out to move the chains on third-and-6.

Love gave an interview where he said Golden was locked in as the X receiver, which is the old Split End, weak side of the formation spot. He will get one on one matchups more often from that spot unless they change strength or motion pre-snap.

His job will be to make tough catches one on one to move chain very much like Doubs. So far he looks up to the task.

Yes, the clips are sounding good. I despised that pick, and he needs to be really good to justify passing on Josh Simmons who looked really good with KC. Basically KC gets Creed and Simmons, we got Myers and Golden. We definitely are losers on the first go, and we are well behind in the second.

Gute seemed to make it pretty clear in his PC this morning that Skyy Moore will be on the team. Probably not great news for guys like Neyor and Sturdivant. If Melton is making the team, I think we know who the top 6 WR's are.

Moore was a PFF darling coming out of Western Michigan and never really stuck for KC. Maybe he's figured it out, but if that's the 6 WRs they roll with it's a group of mostly sub 6' smurfs, which is the opposite of what MLF likes. Then again, this is WR5/6 - the DeAngelo Yanceys and Malik Heaths of the world - we're talking about.

I don't really think he was saying Moore is having a great camp. I think he's just determined to have him as a returner, and a guy who can handle some of the slot stuff. I also think with the Packers running more inside zone than outside, having big WR's who can block is not quite as important as it was when Aaron Jones was running outside zone. And Watson and Savion do fit the bill when they need size out there.

Defensive lineman Anthony Campbell continues to make plays. While Hargrave and Devonte Wyatt (practicing but not in team drills) have been sidelined, Campbell has been pushed into working with the second-team defense. He’s recorded several pass breakups in camp and has “sacked” quarterback Tyrod Taylor several times.

There’s some momentum building for running back MarShawn Lloyd, who has dealt with a series of injuries going into Year 3 of his NFL career. Lloyd, who has only played 10 regular-season snaps after being taken in the third round, made several plays in camp today and got the majority of the snaps with the starting offense while Jacobs was sidelined. At the moment, Lloyd projects to be the Packers’ number two ball-carrier in 2026, only behind Jacobs.

With Aaron Banks and Zach Bako-Bewele still out of the lineup in team drills ... those reps usually go to Jacob Monk (left guard) and Darian Kinnard (right tackle), but today there was a heavy dose of Anthony Belton (who usually plays right guard) at right tackle. That opened up another spot at guard on the line, which rookie Jager Burton stepped into. Donovan Jennings also got some reps at guard with the first-team offense today, too.

... One option for the final offensive lineman on the 53-man roster is second-year draft pick John Williams, who missed his entire rookie season with a back injury. Right now, Williams is playing every position on the offensive line.

Here’s the thing: If that’s the Packers’ backup line, the only “true tackle” beyond the starters is Kinnard, as Monk, Burton, Jennings and Williams are primarily interior offensive linemen. That is likely one reason why Belton is getting some reps at tackle right now while Bako-Bewele is out. If the group ever faced two injuries at the tackle position (any combo of two of Jordan Morgan, Bako-Bewele and Kinnard), Belton is probably the next man up at the position.

John Williams having to move from snapping sign (with?) twos to immediately playing left tackle with threes is one of the more impressive things I’ve seen from an O-lineman on the reserve uni

I'm a little disappointed that my choice to make the team, Maryland, hasn't done much, but there's still hope. Lachey or whatever shouldn't even be there IMO. I don't know what to think about Musgrave. It would be a damn shame to give up on him and have him succeed with some other team.

Seems that cutting McAnus didn't remove enough pressure from our new kicker.....now MiLF has told practice refs to stop signalling make or miss. Don't want media to realize how bad we botched this. Thank God we get 3 points for saving feelings in the regular season and pressure isn't something kickers need to be able to deal with.

I wholeheartedly agree with what somebody said above that we ought to de-emphasize the 12 or 13/2 or 3 TE crap and make better use of our plethora of high quality WRs. I guess Sky Moore is doing fairly good, which also is a bit concerning or whatever, as I'd rather see Neyor or Sturtevant or both make the team.

You are joking about Campbell being the son of Scott (either poster or QB), aren't you?
