I'm okay with Favre playing for the Vikings if that's what he wants to do, and I don't care why he wants to do it. Of course, if he is the Vikings quarterback, I won't be cheering for him, but that's okay too. I just wish that back in February of 2008 he had decided he wanted another shot at a Super Bowl...with the Packers.

You keep looking at this from a SB perspective. That's not it, which I've tried to explain. He would absolutely HATE to go out without a chance to beat THOMPSON. The SB is secondary to beating Thompson. He has to get even. He can't let that one go.

I don't see that as a stretch. I see that as making perfect sense. It was a significant part of the reason for him coming back last season, and he's admitted as much. The quote is right here in this thread, and it's a Peter King interview so I'm sure you can find it archived at ESPN. Why should I believe that his reasons for coming back again this year - with a division rival no less - are any different than they were last year?

I'm not in denial. I posted a day or two ago that he stated part of him came back for the wrong reasons. Why would that be a shock to anyone...someone as competitive as Favre admitted that PART of him came back for the wrong reasons. I'm sure there are more reasons than that.
