And if I were Alex Green, I would be polishing my lead-blocking and QB-protection-blocking skills, as well as ST skills. If he can prove to the coaches he can consistently perform those duties, he might be able to replace Kuhn. I mention Green because he has the size and hands to replace Kuhn as a blocker, while Starks, I think, is not the greatest blocker or pass catcher.

All these good RB's - well, we hope they are good, and healthy - would seem to affect the TE position. I'd say DJ Williams and Ryan Taylor are in big danger.
Kuhn has been bad for 2 years now and he's not going to miraculously get better at 30. Time to get him off the books and eliminate the FB dive play from the playbook.

The media has been praising Stark's pass catching the last 2 days. Maybe he's figured out that you have to look the ball in?

McMillian with nice pick. He has been making plays consistently in camp.

At this point, like FF, I am rooting for my predictions and hopes.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I can see them keeping Finley, Quarless and one of Taylor, Mulligan or Bostick. If Williams doesn't show up in preseason games, he's gone. Three years of showing up in practices and not games isn't promising.

No mention of Bulaga on Twitter. but Bakhtiari is drawing raves for his work in both drill and team.

EDIT: Mostly drill work so far today

Barclay with botched shotgun snap. Gets pulled.

              Starks impressive again in pads.

                When they say versatile:

                Jason Wilde ‏@jasonjwilde 24m
In team, Datone Jones drops into coverage and breaks up pass across middle from Coleman to Starks. #Packers

I wonder how long that experiment will last? It doesn't seem to be going well.

The Persian guy?? All 183 lbs of him??

It's camp - every guy on the practice field is only 1 NFL snap away from the HOF.

Yes we know, The Packers are a terrible team, in a terrible town, with terrible fans and Hawk should be shot.

Read somewhere that out of all the backs coming out of college this year, Franklin stood out as the best pass blocker. I think he stands to replace Kuhn's 3rd down role and Kuhn will be jettisoned.

Assuming Kuhn is cut, we could keep 5 RBs and reduce the # of TEs on the roster. Only caveat to that is injuries. I assume the 5 RBs we currently have will not all be healthy enough to make this team by the end of the preseason. That is just the sad truth.

Maybe this will help you relax. Barclay has had about five bad snaps in two days. And Lang got put on his back by Jones.

Tretter was the backup plan unless you count Count Von Roten. Barclay is the backup backup plan.

M3 said all RBs got schooled by LBs today. Uniformly too high. Did not see much breakdown of individual matchups. Today though it was mostly starters versus backups in other drills.
