He’s gotten a little bigger but his geometric shape has held up to the test of time.

No. There is no such extraction procedure. If his arm was truly amputated at the scene, it was due to the accident and not due to intervention by paramedics. The only gray area would be if his arm was badly mangled and pinned and pulling him out caused it to fall off.

Terrible any way you slice it, though.

        • Lions off to a roaring start:

The #Lions have placed big-ticket free agent pass-rusher Trey Flowers on the PUP list.

#Falcons DL Michael Bennett, who went down in practice today, suffered a broken ankle and is out indefinitely, sources say. First day of work and already a major injury.

The Seattle Seahawks will start the 2019 campaign without a key piece of their defensive line.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports that defensive lineman Jarran Reed is being suspended six games for a violation of the personal conduct policy for an incident from early 2017. He was not charged or arrested.

Reed's appeal was denied Friday morning, per Rapoport.

The suspension is a brutal blow to the Seahawks, who were expecting a big season from Reed. The 26-year-old is coming off a breakout campaign in 2018 in which he compiled 10.5 sacks and 50 tackles in 16 regular-season starts.

The 2016 second-round pick enters the final year of his rookie deal and was a candidate for an extension. Whether the suspension alters those plans remains to be seen.

              • Jarran Reed of the Seachickens suspended for 6 games in 2019 for an alleged assault in 2017. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...gn=Twitter_atn

Here is the report of the initial investigation: https://www.king5.com/article/sports...ault/437977570

He was neither charged nor arrested. Interesting, given that they have public evidence against Hill, who was not suspended. I read that the mother of Hill's child refused to speak to the NFL. Possible that the woman involved with Reed did.

The #Jets are releasing RB De’Angelo Henderson today, source said. The former #Broncos 6th rounder was on the NYJ active roster last season.

                    • Toronto Raptors coaching moves, sorta.

                      Matt Norlander @MattNorlander
Tony Bennett guarding Nick Nurse — in 1989. Both men coached their teams to championships 30 years later, barely two months apart. The universe can be freaking incredible sometimes.

                      • Peterman fumbled the ball on his finances

                        https://www.complex.com/sports/2019/...ce=twitter.com

Despite earning close to $100.2 million throughout his playing career, legendary running back Adrian Peterson is swimming in debt.

The Athletic reported that AP's mounting debt has led to legal issues. Per Daniel Kaplen, Peterson is being sued by a Pennslyvania lender for neglecting to pay back a $5.2 million loan. He's also been named in two separate lawsuits. For one, the judge ordered AP to pay a creditor $2.4 million while he's expected to cough up $600,000 to another creditor.

                        • Maybe if the creditors took a switch to AP's genitals and inner thighs, he may learn his lesson.

In other big news, the Lions sign Mike Daniels.
Mike Daniels had 29 sacks in 7 seasons with the Packers. He will now visit Lambeau Field as a member of the Detroit Lions.

Wow. I'm sure there's a lot more to this story, but losing that kind of money is like being a real life Brewster's Millions.

A 1 year deal? Length & $$$ (esp. guaranteed) say a lot about what other teams think of his value.
