Should entertainers like Aaron Rodgers or Henry Ruggs get paid millions and millions of dollars when there are police and firefighters and nurses making peanuts and putting their lives on the line to actually protect us and save lives? You can justify that any way you want, but the bottom line is that in an economy that measures importance by dollars made, the decision to put an inordinate number of dollars into distractions like the NFL or television shows us what our priorities actually are.
