I called out 3 folks that I believe can't behave. My goal was to illustrate a point with real world examples of what I'm seeing, and what I'm hearing from members who don't post much here any longer. I got a PM, not long ago, from a member who won't let his pre-teen son read these forums because Skin can't behave. And I'm not talking about the garbage can. I'm talking about black hookers, and road trips among other things. Last time I checked pre-teen boys can read.

I get more PM complaints about Tyrone than every single other forum member combined. He frequently cites things from other sites, but couldn't give link credit for the idea if his life depended on it. He argues about anything, with anybody, at anytime and must have the last word. Partial has the uncanny ability to start a war in a thread about Kum Bay Ya. Then, when the war is raging, he gets pissed off about "unfairness" and blasts the entire forum with out of context quotes. He also has the recent past PM title for most complaints. That's reality.

Yet, none of them even accepted anything resembling responsibility. All basically said "fuck you", and then gave a litany of reasons why it couldn't be true and I'm mistaken. I heard the message loud and clear.

As a neutral party who compulsively looks to find the best in everyone and focus on that, I would like to point out that regardless of alleged or actual past crimes (or anything that's been posted since yesterday afternoon that I haven't read yet), I've noticed that Partial's posts have been a lot more civil over the past couple weeks. And so what if not everything is backed up with concrete stats. Being a fan is as much about having passionate opinions about your team as it is being able to identify and analyze trends. There's no wrong here, just differences that deserve tolerance on all sides. If someone states something, its an opinion and if they cite from a reliable source itsfact. Both have an equal right to be here.

When the site owner is blaming certain posters for the lack of new members, yeah, it kind of is important. How do you propose people find this site? ESP? Hire bums to pass out fliers on the strip?

Honestly, I want to know how you expect anyone to find this site. If no one's finding the site, how the hell do you expect anyone to sign up to be a new member?

The posters that Admin chose to attack have been a constant, for better or worse. It seems pretty goddamn obvious to me that pretty much exactly 3 months after the meta tags were removed from the homepage and the title changed to "offline," which would be when the old indexing would expire and any kind of listing in any search engine would disappear, new member registration plummeted exactly at the time it should have been increasing with preseason football starting.

The fact that the homepage tells people to click to enter and nothing happens just kind of adds icing on the cake. How many regulars did we have disappear for a time before showing up and describing the same experience of thinking the website was down until they searched for the name of the forum and discovered that indeed, we still existed? How many disappeared for good? These were people who knew the site existed. I doubt others put as much effort into finding the forum.

So really, when the owner of the site calls me out as a reason that new members aren't signing up, I guess all I can do is make my case of why maybe that isn't true. What you believe is up to you.
