Nice clapping, but he was offered the opportunity to come in and compete for the job. He rejected the Packers. Let's remember that, shall we?
You go girl - spot on !
With that said; how does Brett only throw 7 ints. in (now) 17 games this season? Never done in GB or NY for that matter. The guy is so unpredictable.

That's actually part of the point. Some folks on here refuse to believe your argument that you don't know for sure all the bad stuff that happened, but on the flip side, you refuse to believe in the possibility that some of it (even the stuff with some foundation to it) could possibly be true. It is quite possible he was quite the manipulative ass and just as you say that can't be PROVEN, you refuse to consider it even when evidence leans that way.
At the end of Favre's stint in GB, he had a separate locker room and rarely interacted with any but a select couple of players (look at how he treated Rodgers and Jennings)--he even said so straight up and the news reports out of the Jets backed that notion up completely, yet you either try to excuse it or completely ignore it. You can choose to root for your team's biggest rival for some reason, but to suggest that those who are so unhappy with him have no cause is simply not true and a tad disingenuous. Patler gave a very well-thought out analysis that points out details to support his argument and the best you've got is "we don't know what happened." Exactly what do you think Favre left out while he was trying so desperately to villify the organization?
He dissed my team in the past and at present looks very much like an arrogant attention seeker. I see no humility. I like who Brett Favre was. I don't like who he is. I hope he gets oh so close and fails.

WHATEVER!! Really who cares anymore other than those looking for a reason to hate on the guy?
FACT is NOBODY here knows what happened behind the scenes at the Packer organization. Speculate all you want.....paint as dim of pic as you want.
I am grateful for being able to watch one of the greatest football players ever play for the Packers......and I will enjoy watching him finish his career....on whatever team it may be. Here's to another ring....GO BRETT!!
That's partly why I've come to not be so angry with Favre. There is proof that Favre did some stupid things and the whole entire Greta interview turned me off towards him, but we don't really know what happened exactly.
Regardless of what happened at the Greta interview, we really don't know much at all of what's happened on each side the past 2 years. Who cares? IMO Favre played the best game of his career this past Sunday, I hope he can go on playing as long as he's able and wishes to. Sure didn't look like a retiree to me !!

Agreed. Except this is close enough now. He needs to go out Sunday and embarass himself.
Don't know if this is considered OT for this thread...
What's up with AP? The Vikings don't seem to be going to him much, late in the season, and now in the first playoff game. A blowout win like that, you would expect a few more touches. His avg was low as well.

You asked about Bert and his relationship with his teammates. Evidence was presented..including Bert's own words.
And, you responded with "whatever."

Not one Favre fan has been able to answer this.
Why in the world would you have any reason to believe that the organization somehow horribly wronged Favre and we don't have the whole story? He said and did everything possible to get his way. Lobbed out every half-story possible to try and get public support. And yet he refused to play his ace in the hole? Please.
I never once said the organization "wronged" Favre. What I've said from the beginning is NOBODY here was there. NOBODY here can say they know the whole story. Yet, so many here are eager to paint a horrible picture of Favre.......after loving him as QB for the Packers all those years.
And really when it's all said and done the Packers did not want him anymore. PERIOD! He wanted to continue to play.............and as the story played out it ended up to be for the Vikings. Is that really a reason to hate on the guy? Let it go people. You say he means nothing to you anymore so why do you care what team he plays for? The bitterness and hate makes people look rather childish.
We don't need to know the whole story. We have enough to make judgements.
And, we didn't paint the picture. Bert is a performance artist who created himself.
Let's review:
1. Repeatedly cheated on Deanna.
2. Vicodin addiction...didn't want to abide by NFL rules regarding drinking.
3. Alcoholic.
4. Repeatedly said he would retire rather than leave GB
5. Continuously waffled on his retirement
6. Threw teammates under the bus
7. Openly undermined his GM's authority
8. Retired and then wanted his job back. In the real world, when you leave you don't get your job back
9. Was a poor teammate with the pack and the jets
10. Hurt the jets by continuing to play despite being injured
11. "Retired" from the jets and then unretired to play for the vikes. Thus lying to his employer and denying them fair compensation for his services
12. Thew Mangini under the Bus
13. Gave info to the Lions
Those are the facts. None of which can be disputed. Noting them doesn't mean we hate Bert. Just as noting he is a 3 time MVP doesn't mean Ty loves him.

+1
The Favre fanatics only look at the situation in one light -> Favre was the victim here and the Packers threw him out the door without giving him a chance to return. If we bring up compelling evidence to the contrary you say we fans don't really know what went down but you are all too willing to believe that Favre was wronged and you dismiss any notion that Favre orchestrated the entire affair. I too suspect Favre was/is a manipulative ass who wanted out of Green Bay to play for our most hated rival. Why else would he quit on a team just weeks removed from playing in the NFC Championship game?

You're right. None of us know for certain everything that was said and done leading up to Favre's departure from Green Bay. That also includes you. You give him the benefit of the doubt, and there's nothing wrong with that. The guy did alot for Green Bay while he was a Packer, and that's not strictly limited to his abilities on a football field. But giving him the benefit of the doubt doesn't erase the doubt itself, and many of us are not so willing to give him that benefit. Could we agree that it's just as likely that the rumors are true as it is that the rumors are false? If so, then surely we can agree that there is every bit as much reason to have turned on him as there is reason to remain in his corner. To each his/her own.
We can agree that Favre was one of the greatest football players ever to play for the Packers. I loved watching him play while he was a Packer. But my loyalty is reserved for the team I support. I will always stand behind the Packers. I will ONLY stand behind the Packers. I'm with Nick Barnett on this one. Either you're with us or against us. Last I checked, Favre ain't with us no more. So he's against us. And I am against him. The day the door closed behind him at 1265 was the day my support for him ended.
Wether he was pushed out or walked out on his own is inconsequential as far as I'm concerned. That's simply adding grey to a black and white situation. The bottom line - and the only line that matters IMO - is that he's not here anymore. Even if you don't agree with that perspective, certainly you can understand how some could feel that way. It's all about the G. It's ONLY about the G.

I respect that and that some have no desire to follow his career anymore. I've never promoted all packer fans to continue to support Brett. My only problem is the hatred that is continued to be expressed.
I get the biggest kick out of the majority of Favre bashers on here that say you could care less he is gone and the team is better off. Yet you call him a traitor and bash him every chance you get.
