granted its only a game and irrelevant in the grand scheme; what with REAL travesties like Haiti. but your tone is resembling hatred, making me reconsider nuptials.

      all good
How is her wish the absolute worst? She didn't wish for him to die? She didn't wish for him to throw 6 ints.....ooops, i guess he already did that.

She just wished that he not reach the promised land. He sinned, like Moses..and MJ, like god..says no to letting him into the land of milk and honey.

And, you and the rest calling it hatred is wrong. It isn't hatred. It is schadenfraude (spelling). It is a german thing...a black asshole wouldn't understand.

As Cartman would say to Bert after the loss.."Yes! Yesss! Oh, let me taste your tears, Bert! Mm, your tears are so yummy and sweet! Oh, the tears of unfathomable sadness! My-yummy!"

Interesting comparison, Moses and the Promised land vs. Favre and the Super Bowl. But for the rest of the Vikings to make it and not Favre would require that .........

        • I will be so glad when he finally does retire so I can enjoy coming back to packer rats again I use to come here and read every day now I come and check once a week maybe because all thats here anymore is fighting and bull crap.
I am so over Brett yes I loved him as a packer and always will now hes left 1st year I was mad but still hurt that he left now its 2 years out I dont care what he does I just hope sometime in the future he can mend his ties with the packers all you young people out here have never had to suffer with a bad QB like us old time packer fans did we are so lucky to have arod here ,it makes it so much easier the vikes will have him 1 maybe 2 years we had him for 17? I think .
Any way for now its like Brett the packer is dead to me and the vikes have a great old QB named Brett that if he does not retire I hope we beat the cr@p out of next year.

That would be fine. He could be injured and Tjack could lead them.

I respect that and that some have no desire to follow his career anymore. I've never promoted all packer fans to continue to support Brett. My only problem is the hatred that is continued to be expressed.
Let them hate. Brett doesn't need his fans to stand up for him. If it doesn't hurt you any, just leave it be. As frustrated as you've become at the apparent hatred of the guy, there are just as many that are just as frustrated at the stubborn defense of him. That's how the personal attacks begin. That's what keeps fueling this fight. Both sides are guilty. This fight would die off naturally if people on both sides would cease thier attack on one another, even if the attack/defense of Favre continues.

So let them hate. You continue your support. And hopefully both sides will eventually be able to simply leave it at that without getting into the argument over the question that has stirred up all the trouble in the first place - why. It doesn't matter why you support him or why we hate him. It doesn't matter THAT you support him or THAT we hate him. It just doesn't matter, does it?

He plays for the Minnesota Vikings. I think that pretty much sums it up. I was fine when he went to the Jets.
So does Longwell and did Sharper yet I don't hear the bashing and "traitor" talk about them.

Apparently you weren't around when they left. Both were bashed rather strongly for the first year or so. But for each of them, it was a long time ago, and they are of lower profile than Favre.

While each Sharper and Longwell bashed the organization a bit, and Longwell saw fit to insult the community of Green Bay, neither had the long drawn-out, spiteful departure that Favre had.

It is easy to understand why the emotions about Favre are stronger.

Both Sharper and Longwell's contracts had expired or the Pack were asking them to take a pay cut and were released. No such thing with BF. He was under contract and desided to retire and then he used all the leverage possible to get out of GB after the team wouldn't bend over backwards for him. Then he did the same thing to NYJ to get to MINN.

I also don't remember Sharper or Longwell being the "face" of the GB Packers for over 15 years. In fact, I don't think I can remember a kicker ever being the "face" of their team. Maybe Venatari (sp) after the SB kick.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I can think of several other parts of anatomy that are more relevant for Favre than "face"...

Favre needs 8 comps, 228 pass yards & 3 TD pass for NFL career playoff records in each category, topping Montana.

I think he got the record for most attempts last week, also from Montana.
I believe both are sitting at 23 playoff games right now.

Sounds to me like you are justifying why you hate. There is no difference when it comes right down to it. Some of you would just rather bitch about Favre. Tell me this if you retired and then decided you still wanted to work as many retirees do wouldn't that make you the same. WTF was Brett supposed to do,be a Walmart greeter. The packers didn't want him,he wanted to play, now he is. pretty fuckin simple.

Sounds like you want to give him a free pass.

                              Let's look at the facts:
                              1. BF was under contract with the Packers
                              2. BF retired
                              3. BF wanted to return but on his terms (gets starting spot back)
                              4. BF was traded to the NYJ under the same contract
                              5. BF "retires" again saying he is done
                              6. BF asks for his release (I thought he was done, why does he need to get out of his contract?)
                              7. BF toys with MINN but says no
                              8. BF signs with MINN once training camp is over

It also seems like you're happy to hate on the haters!

Like I said he retired, changed his mind it happens. GB didn't want him saying they had someone better, yet didn't have the balls to let him go where HE wanted. Brett didn't ask for his release from the Jets, they released him after drafting Sanchez. Finally he gave Mn an answer by a deadline, they were not happy with the answer and kept courting.
