Do we know what happened with the Jets?Originally posted by channthemanThat's partly why I've come to not be so angry with Favre. There is proof that Favre did some stupid things and the whole entire Greta interview turned me off towards him, but we don't really know what happened exactly.Originally posted by GrnBay007WHATEVER!! Really who cares anymore other than those looking for a reason to hate on the guy?
FACT is NOBODY here knows what happened behind the scenes at the Packer organization. Speculate all you want.....paint as dim of pic as you want.
I am grateful for being able to watch one of the greatest football players ever play for the Packers......and I will enjoy watching him finish his career....on whatever team it may be. Here's to another ring....GO BRETT!!
You are starting to disappoint me chann. Keep it up and the sig gets changed.

Why in the world would you have any reason to believe that the organization somehow horribly wronged Favre and we don't have the whole story? He said and did everything possible to get his way. Lobbed out every half-story possible to try and get public support. And yet he refused to play his ace in the hole? Please.Go PACK

And then he pulled the exact same stunt the next year in NY. He's shown no character or loyalty for anyone but himself. If they Vikings win the Superbowl, his despicable behavior will have been rewarded.
So I'm a Saints fan this weekend.

I never once said the organization "wronged" Favre. What I've said from the beginning is NOBODY here was there. NOBODY here can say they know the whole story. Yet, so many here are eager to paint a horrible picture of Favre.......after loving him as QB for the Packers all those years.Originally posted by Bossman641Not one Favre fan has been able to answer this.Originally posted by GrnBay007WHATEVER!! And really when it's all said and done the Packers did not want him anymore. PERIOD! He wanted to continue to play.............and as the story played out it ended up to be for the Vikings. Is that really a reason to hate on the guy? Let it go people. You say he means nothing to you anymore so why do you care what team he plays for? The bitterness and hate makes people look rather childish.

But like Boss said, the way Brett was talking about anything he could think of at the time what leads you to believe there was anything held back? I surely didn't see any indication that he was going to respect the privacy of any conversations or anything that went down? I think if there'd been more to say, there would have been another Greta interview.
Maybe the Packers didn't say all they could have, but I've seen nothing to make me believe that Brett held one innuendo away from a hungry media all focused on him."Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings

News flash: First and foremost, every player cares about themselves. Look at Kurt Warner, been a journey man his whole career. TO, hell even Donald Driver, who I respect, if he retired and tried to come back, was shown the door, would gladly go play elsewhere.Originally posted by Scott CampbellOriginally posted by Bossman641Not one Favre fan has been able to answer this.Originally posted by GrnBay007WHATEVER!! Fact remains, we seem to hold players to this ungodly standard that they are somehow different then every other human being out there. We all care about ourselves first, then family, etc etc. Just saying, I can't hate favre because he was so indecisive on retirement, and when it became clear that the packers didn't want him back that he wanted to go to Minnesota. As has been proven this eyar, it was the perfect fit for him to try and get back to teh super bowl.
I am sure if he decided to come back (like in 2007) and the packers immediately opened their arms to it, none of this drama would of went down. fact is, the packers didn't want him back, and after Favre saw that, he magically became a man caring for himself.
Just saying, thats the way we all were. Look at Joe Montana. He came back off injury, and I am sure as hell he wanted his job back. It ended badly and he went to KC, where he proved he was still as good as he ever was.
This isn't the first time it happened. Problem is that the media loves the guy so much they wont leave him alone. The whole will he wont he thing has been going on sinc elike, 2003, and it was the media pressing the issue, not favre.

Nice clapping, but he was offered the opportunity to come in and compete for the job. He rejected the Packers. Let's remember that, shall we?"Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings
