    ........behind Aaron Rodgers they could.

Depends if he had to hit a wide open wide receiver on a long ball for the win or not.

Truth be told Rodgers had a chance to win that game after having a very good game. He blew the throw

Favre had a chance to help his team win that game by either running for five more yards or throwing to somebody else. Both still assume Longwell makes a field goal next to what he noted was his limit and he needed more yards for that. They were out of field goal range with an incompletion. He blew the throw as well. To say his team had the game won is untrue; they were out of field goal range after a stupid penalty

Anybody can come out and say the loss was not Rodgers fault for that and there were many more reasons GB lost than the final throw. Ditto for the Vikings game.

    • I thought I had killed this thread. Oh well.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Apparently not, because they had their chance to beat one of them, and failed.
Ha, well to be fair, coming out of the game everyone kenw the vikings were the better team. They were better in every phase of the game... but they turne dit over like 5 times.
Hard to say, in all honesty, which is the better team week in and week out.. If both teams played the way they did that game, the Vikings should win. But who's to say if they played 10 more times that the Saints wouldn't play a heck of a lot better, and the Vikings worse, even without fumbles? You just don't know.

When a team can lose to Tampa Bay one week and beat the Cowboys the next, it goes to show that past performance or present performance means little. All that matters is the scoreboard, because the same two teams might look totally different playing each other a week later.

                      • It's nice to see Brees up there. I don't know if I could have handled Bert sitting up there talking about himself for an hour.

Nice to hear a guy talk about the other players and the city.

Really? This is your lasting impression of Favre? C'mon. Everyone just give up this thread.

After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.
