  • Those birds in the second picture are getting worse than geese around here.
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.

Unless, of course he has a concussion and was too dizzy to walk, either that or he NEEDED that cart so the trainer could hold the rag on his chin tight enough.

I don't think anyone's celebrating his injury per se. It would be a different story if he'd have broken his jaw, but last time I had to have 8 or 10 stitches, the national media wasn't much concerned about it. My mother wasn't even this concerned about it. Wonder how Deanna's feeling about it...

He didn't seem concussed in his press conference (standing up too, I believe)

          • Unbelievable, Pryor, the guy who knocked Favre out of the game last Sunday, was just fined for his hit on Favre. I honestly don't know what is a legal or illegal hit.

Apparently a hit is illegal if it ends up causing visible injury to a QB.

              • I seriously doubt there would have been a fine here had Gramps' chin not bled.

I think the guy deserves a raise, and maybe preferred stadium parking.

                      • If farve doesn't get taken off on the cart, does anyone think there would be a fine?

Stay retired when? He didn't retire this past offseason, which is shocking enough as it is, being he retired the previous 2.

Of course, when you put up MVP numbers and fall just short of the super bowl, your mindset completely changes.

I'm not saying the vikings, and Favre, can't turn it around. Favre played A LOT better in that NE game than he had all season. IF he continues that trend, the passing offense should be back on track quickly. The question is if they can rile off a long winning streak, because at this point everything is a must win if they want a WC spot.

Apparently not, since he retired - or not - after the 2007 season

You're a good Viking fan - keep your faith alive! Hopefully, for your sake, they will start winning games. Hopefully, for Packer fans' sakes, they will get crushed.

                              • I think Favre played well in that game because he reined himself in (I won't give Chilly credit for that) and played within the system. He allowed AP to be the focus and I think most of Favre's passes were fairly safe and short. In short, the swashbuckling Favre was gone.

Let's see if he continues this way of operating.
