I would have let him come back after that 13-3 season but TT made the right decision going with Rodgers.

There are those of us who believe that Favre was just waiting for the train to leave the station before he announced he in fact really wanted to play - just like he did the following year with the Jets. I think he wanted to play indoors and have have a coaching staff and front office that he could easily manipulate. And he wanted to protect his Packer legacy by shifting the blame for leaving to Ted.

Some of his fans want to believe that he just changed mind about retirement. Yet for an entire year he never once wavered about who he wanted play for - the Vikings. The dude never changed his mind. That's just what he'd like you to believe.

    Steve McNair
    Brett Favre
    Jay Cutler

The only 3 ugly QB divorces in the last ~5 years were all carefully orchestrated by the same guy - Bus Cook.

The only people who don't know what happened are those that really don't want to know - protecting their fantasy. IMO

No baiting involved Woodbuck. Above are your exact words. I simply questioned whether you were suggesting that Favre would find encouragement not to retire simply because the Packer fans wanted him too.

          Are you sure?

Packer fans wanted to see him choke away their Superbowl berth, and he was more than accommodating with that.

I'm a little torn. If he hangs them up, he can't win a title and it's mercifully over. Finally. On the other hand, I sure enjoyed watching him puke all over himself in the clutch against New Orleans. And I'd love for our line to get another opportunity to dish out a little of what NO hit him with.

I guess I'm good either way.

I see. So which group do you think I fall into?

For you I pick door #2: hang the traitor.

Be careful not to overshare here, Zig. After 258 pages you wouldn't want to be responsible for sending the Favre thread to the GC, home of lusty disgusting images.
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Co-worker displayed lusty disgust, or disgusting lust?

About a certain unretired quarterback who once played for our team.
