Actually, that quote predates Bert Wood. It dates back to the earliest Free Masons and my father told it to me when I was about 7 years old. The problem is, Ed, you don't take your own advice. You come on here, self righteuos, beating your chest and write pages of jiberish and you stick it to more posters than I care to count, all the while proclaiming your superior intellect and morals.

Long live the character and quality of ' the man ' I've come to observe, enjoy and appreciate inspite of any flaws and respectfully deserved or otherwise criticisms in Brett Favre. A man I respect as an outstanding Pro athlete and person who does his best to serve his personal needs and values as an NFL QB of distinction and immense talent.

Long live ' this thread ', that is, and remains a tribute to his outstanding contributions to ' the Green Bay Packers ' when he was our QB and ' a leader ' of distinction among his peers yesterday and today.

The bottom line. We have to defeat Brett Favre and his team to advance ' the Packer ' cause and ideal goal. To get to and win a Super Bowl and hopefully so, while Brett Favre is still in the NFL.

We're taught that in Australia, too. It's the 11th Commandment. Talking about or praising ones self is seen as vulgar, repulsive behaviour. I have a real problem with posters around here that need to continually blow their own horns.
